ECONOMICS Amla is an economically viable crop Initially each plant yields about 25 kg of fruits a year gradually rising to 50 kg a year. 4th year onwards, the average yield per tree is about 100 kg a year which eventually reaches 2-3 quintals per year. Cost of raising Amla plantation is about Rs. 1.25 lakh/ha. The returns, at an average price of Rs. 10-15 a kg of fruits is about Rs. 2.5 lakhs/ha.
