Fine Arts Defined Fine arts is any of the art forms that include drawing, painting, sculpture, and ceramics, or occasionally, architecture, literature, music, dramatic art, or dancing. Performing arts are art forms in which artists use their body, voice, or objects to convey artistic expression. Visual arts definition, the arts created primarily for visual perception, as drawing, graphics, painting, sculpture, and the decorative arts.

CULTURAL/ECONOMICAL IMPACT Existing cultural entities in the community would have a state of the art facility. BISD would be the only educational institution in the city to offer such a venue to its students. The PAC would be an economic engine for the city and region. Space X families will have state of the arts facilities for their children. Touring shows, conventions, and festivals would provide additional economic impact to BISD and community.

REVENUE GENERATING USAGE Community events: Jazz festivals, The Nutcracker, Messiah, community concerts, etc. Fine arts educational tour companies and corporate meetings.

PROJECTED FISCAL IMPLICATIONS Size of land on Morrison Road that was purchased and approved by the board in 2008 for a future Performing Arts Center Land Development Costs: Platting fees, surveys/topography maps, water right fees, drainage district fees, water & sewer connection fees and line, extensions, electrical transformer installation & hookup fees, etc. 19.239 acres $275,000 Estimated building construction costs: 165,000 square ft @ $300.00/sf Architect/Engineering fee (7.0%) including theatre consultant fees $50,000,000 $4,060,000 Reimbursable fees for plans & specifications $90,000 Geotechnical testing, materials testing & air balancing testing costs $180,000 Total Cost $50,549,060
