KSP Uniform Guide KIPP STRIVE Primary Uniform Policy The student dress code policy at KIPP Metro Atlanta is that ALL scholars are expected to wear the required uniform every day, unless otherwise indicated. Scholars must wear the designated KSP school uniform polo, peter pan blouse, or KSP white oxford shirt every day. Additionally, students may choose to wear the school cardigan, sweater vest, or blazer. Students must wear navy bottoms. Girls may wear navy blue skorts (skirts with sew-in shorts). At a minimum, skorts must fall one inch above the knee. If skorts are too short, families will be contacted to provide a change of clothes, if one is not available. Summer school During Summer School, all scholars are required to wear the KIPP STRIVE Primary School Summer School t-shirt. Scholars will be provided with one complimentary Summer School t-shirt. Scholar All scholars are required to wear the KSP school polo corresponding to their grade level. Collegiate - Girls Scholars who wish to have more diversity in their uniform, may observe the KSP Collegiate Look. In this look, scholars must wear a white peter pan blouse with a navy cross tie or bow tie, along with an article of clothing with the KSP school logo (blazer, sweater vest, or sweater). The blue performance shirt MAY NOT be worn in the Collegiate Look. Scholars are NOT allowed to wear the blue performance shirt to school, unless asked to do so for a special performance day or event. Collegiate - Boys Scholars who wish to have more diversity in their uniform, they may observe the KSP Collegiate Look. In this Look, scholars must wear a white oxford button up shirt, with a KSP neck tie or bow tie, along with an article of clothing with the KSP school logo (blazer, sweater vest, or sweater), and navy bottoms. The blue performance shirt MAY NOT be worn in the Collegiate Look. Scholars are NOT allowed to wear the blue performance shirt to school, unless asked to do so for a special performance day or event. Performance For all school performances, scholars will be required to observe the Performance Look. This is the only time when scholars will be required to wear brown khaki pants. Families will be notified when the performance look is required. Scholars MAY NOT wear the blue performance shirts or brown khakis to school unless asked to do so. This look is reserved for special days. What NOT to Wear Don t Wear leggings. Leggings will no longer be an acceptable form of dress at KIPP STRIVE Primary School. Leggings will not be allowed to be worn as pants nor under dresses or skirts. Wear Patterned Bottoms. Patterned bottoms are not apart of our dress code. ALL bottoms are required to be solid navy blue. Bottoms may NOT be royal blue or any other shade of blue other than navy. Bottoms may not be corduroy or made of jean material. Wear Colored Long Sleeve Undershirts. Scholars may only wear undershirts that are white or navy no other colors are acceptable. Scholars may also elect to wear a long sleeve polo or purchase a scholar cardigan if they are cold.

Acknowledgment As the parent/guardian of a KIPP STRIVE Primary scholar, I acknowledge the following: My scholar must wear their grade specific polo ALL uniform bottoms must be navy blue. Scholars may not wear jeans or corduroy pants.. My scholar may NOT wear the blue performance shirt to school unless requested by the school for a special day or performance. My scholar may NOT wear colored long sleeve undershirts. However, they can wear blue or navy long sleeve undershirts or a long sleeve polo. Girl scholars may not wear a skort that is shorter than one inch above the knee. If the skort is shorter, the scholar will be asked to change. Please return the attached acknowledgment card to confirm you have read and understand the uniform policy outlined in this document and that you understand the statements above by Monday, July 20 th. All families must submit this acknowledgment or your scholar will not receive KIPPster Coins for the first two weeks of school.
