Morgan will become the new investment manager and distributor for New York s 529 College Savings Program Advisor Plan, which will be renamed New York s 529 Advisor-Guided College Savings Program ( Advisor-Guided Plan or Plan ). Transition overview In May 2012, the role of investment manager for New York s 529 College Savings Program Advisor Plan will transition from Columbia Management to J.P. Morgan. You will receive new investment options and online services while keeping the Plan features that benefit you most. The information provided in this guide is intended to be a summary of planned changes. Please refer to the Advisor-Guided Plan Disclosure Booklet for more details. What s changing? How your investments will change * For more information about underlying investments and individual portfolios, please refer to the Advisor-Guided Plan Disclosure Booklet. It includes details on each investment s objective, strategy, risks and fees. Please note that, the new investments are not available for purchase until the transition is complete, on or around May 8, 2012. Many options in J.P. Morgan s new investment lineup will be similar to current Advisor Plan offerings. What s changing is each portfolio s underlying investments and managers. In addition, the enhanced investment lineup will feature new individual portfolios made up of single asset classes. After the transition The initial transfer of Plan assets is just the beginning of your relationship with J.P. Morgan. Opening and closing account statements You and your financial advisor will receive two statements shortly after the transition to ensure that your account was transferred correctly. One statement will show your final account balance and holdings with Columbia Management. The other will show your initial balance and holdings with J.P. Morgan. Regular quarterly account statements In July 2012, you will receive your first regular account statement from J.P. Morgan, detailing your investment performance and activity since assets were transferred.
