Introduction to Digital Registration Certificate Background : Currently the Certificate of Registration is being sent by speed post on the address mentioned in the dealer s application form for registration. Now Maharashtra Sales Tax department has provided the online facility to download the digitally signed Certificate of Registration from department Web-site www.mahavat.gov.in. 2
Introduction to Digital Registration Certificate Procedure: From XXX onwards there will be facility available to download the digitally signed Certificate of Registration from Web-site www.mahavat.gov.in of the Sales Tax Department, Government of Maharashtra. Issuance of Registration Number will be done upon approval by MSTD officials after verification of application form and uploaded documents After successful verification & approval, MSTD officer will grant the TIN number to dealer TIN number will be emailed to the email id mentioned in the registration application form. The dealer will be required to use the same TIN for the purpose of e-enrollment on www.mahavat.gov.in. 3

Step1: Dealer TIN / Account Enrollment (1/4) To download Registration Certificate, please visit http://www.mahavat.gov.in/ and Click on New User, Register here on homepage 6
Step1: Dealer TIN / Account Enrollment (2/4) Click on the Dealer Enrollment option 7
Step1: Dealer TIN / Account Enrollment (3/4) Enter the TIN and click on Submit Button 8
Step1: Dealer TIN / Account Enrollment (4/4) Enter the Dealer Information, Password & Password Recall details and click on Submit Button. (The fields indicated by * are mandatory fields) 9
Step2: Download the digitally sign Certificate of Registration (1/4) After completing the Dealer TIN / Account Enrollment process visit http://www.mahavat.gov.in/ and Click on Login on homepage 10
Step2: Download the digitally sign Certificate of Registration (2/4) Enter the TIN as Login Id, Password & select Type as Dealer and click on Login button. 11
Step2: Download the digitally sign Certificate of Registration (3/4) Click on the Registration Certificates Link. 12
Step2: Download the digitally sign Certificate of Registration (4/4) Click on the Application No to down load the certificate. Download and save the certificate of registration on computer / laptop. Open the certificate of registration with Acrobat Reader. If the Acrobat Reader is not install on computer / laptop then click on Download 13
Step2.1: Download the digitally sign PTEC Certificate (1/2) To download the PTEC certificate visit www.mahavat.gov.in and click on Download PTEC Registration Certificate 14
Step2.1: Download the digitally sign PTEC Certificate (2/2) Enter the PTEC Certificate No obtained from Sales Tax Officer through email and click on Submit Button. PTEC Certificate will be display on the screen. Download and save the certificate on computer / laptop. Open the PTEC certificate with Acrobat Reader. If the Acrobat Reader is not install on computer / laptop then click on Download 15
Step3: Validation of Digital Certificate (1/8) If the digital signature is showing invalid on digital certificate then right Click on the Digital Signature and click on Validate Signature Option 16
