Membership Categories To suit the individual needs of our members, DNA membership is divided into six categories: Members learn from other experienced dermatology professionals through a DNA membership. 33% of DNA members have ten or more years working in the dermatology field. That s a lot of experience to share Be empowered and make informed decisions that bring more efficiency to your practice, by learning about the latest and greatest in dermatology products and services. (Hint: Our annual convention exhibit hall is the hot spot for dermatological product discovery) In addition, take action and volunteer on DNA committees. A volunteer leader s personal passion for the group s mission is contagious and motivational. DNA s Dermatology Delivered Education Series opens the door to new opportunities from the written word to online education. As a DNA member, you will gain access to our renowned publication, the Journal of Dermatology Nurses Association (JDNA) and top notch continuing education programs for NPs, RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants and other healthcare professionals. DNA is the place to meet and learn from others in different clinical settings (outpatient, private practice, academic, government, etc.) and specialties (cosmetic, oncology, dermatological surgery, general dermatology, etc.). Plus, our members love to meet and help those who are new to the field, as well as those who have been working in dermatology for more than 20 years! The fastest growing group in our membership is the Nurse Practitioners. 25% of DNA s membership consists of NPs, and other members also include Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Licensed Practical Nurses. DNA strives for a diverse membership and welcomes you and your professional team to join us! Nurse members are licensed, registered, practical or vocational nurses involved or interested in the dermatology nursing care of patients. Annual membership for Registered Nurse and LPN/LVN members is $85. Associate members are members of related health care fields who are involved or interested in the care of dermatology patients. Associate members have all DNA benefits except voting and the privilege of serving in an elected position. Annual membership for Associate members is $75. Student members are defined as individuals studying to be an entry-level nurse (RN) and who have not yet achieved their nursing degree. Student members receive many DNA benefits electronically, such as the bi-monthly Focus Newsletter online, the weekly DNA MultiBrief enewsletter, and bi-monthly email member updates. Student members will also receive special registration rates to all DNA events. To join the DNA as a Student Member, please visit the membership tab on dnanurse.org and submit a printed application. Student membership is free for the 1st year (proof of student status required) Each additional year is $25 (proof of student status required). Corporate members are individuals or organizations interested in supporting the purpose of DNA and serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors. Corporate membership does not confer voting privileges or active participation in DNA activities. Annual membership for Corporate members is $3,000. Lifetime membership maintains all the benefits of nurse members, to hold office and vote, without an annual membership fee. This recognizes the contributions of each past president to the DNA.
