ARRIVAL Nairobi Start your trip from Wilson domestic airport (a half hour drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport). Scheduled flights to Lewa Downs Conservancy are with either Safarilink (www.flysafarilink.com) or Air Kenya (www.airkenya.com) and take only 45 minutes. On arrival at Lewa Airstrip, you will be met by a guide from Sirikoi who will take you on a game drive over to the lodge which is approximately 40 minutes away. NIGHTS 1/2/3 SIRIKOI Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Set in a shady acacia grove and overlooking a natural waterhole on the northern slopes of Mount Kenya, Sirikoi is a secluded and private lodge surrounded by the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. The lodge is one of Kenya s most exclusive properties with varying luxury accommodation types such as Sirikoi House, Sirikoi Cottage and the luxury tents, of which there are four. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, a World Heritage Site famous for protecting endangered species including black and white rhino, and Grevy's zebra, offers some of East Africa s best game viewing. Lewa has 70 different mammal species and 10% of Kenya s critically endangered black rhino population. Spend your days exploring Lewa and all it has to offer - spectacular game viewing, bush meals, picnics and sundowners at stunning view points. Something very special to do is visit the orphaned baby rhinos and their dedicated handlers - this is an incredible experience and you can see first hand how their keepers interact and guide them as they get older before being released into the wild. This visit is approximately 30 minutes and well worth doing. Other activities available at an extra cost are helicopter and Waco-bi plane flights, horse riding, camel riding, forest visits, cultural visits and buggy expeditions. NIGHTS 4/5/6 RICHARD S RIVER CAMP The Masai Mara After breakfast on the morning of day 4, you will be taken back to Lewa Airstrip for your flight to the Masai Mara, one of the world s most famous game parks. Touch down at Mara North conservancy where you will be met by a guide from Richard s Camp who will take you over to the camp which is a 1hour drive, depending on how often you stop to view game on the way. Richard s Camp has 6 luxury tents plus one large family suite, all perched on the edge of the Njageteck River with a variety of game wondering through the camp all day. Richard s Camp is a fully hosted, tented camp offering a tailored daily itinerary to suit your needs. Spend three days experiencing this vast wildlife area, renowned for its wonderful scenery and amazing abundance of wildlife. DEPARTURE Nairobi On your final day, there is the option to check out early on one of the morning flights from the Mara back to Nairobi, in case you would like to see any local attractions, or do some last minute shopping before you leave. Or you may want to relax around the camp, have lunch and get a final game drive in before taking one of the late afternoon flights back to Nairobi in time for your international flight
