This position will provide expert process and operational knowledge to aid in the start up of our new equipment and implementing processes to enable steady state operation. Supervision Exercised This position will not be responsible for any direct reports, but will have significant oversight responsibilities with regard to advancing the Owner s interests and ensuring transition through the start up, preoperations and progressing towards steady state operations. Contacts This position has a functional relationship with counterparts in other Engineering disciplines, Project Controls, Procurement, and Plant Operations. Maintains cordial relationships with all Client, Contractor, Utility representatives and others as necessary. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Responsibility for ensuring a smooth transition to a steady state operation of the Rolling Mill equipment. Mentors and teaches operators on how to run the equipment and achieve steady state operation. Advises the Commissioning & Operating team on operational solutions to address process related issues on Rolling Mill equipment. Manages impacts of schedule and cost for the portion of the equipment they are accountable for. Interfaces with department managers to ensure goals are achieved. Verifies that work quality, cost and time objectives for the assigned area are well defined, communicated, followed up and are met.

Assists in startup and operation of equipment, review of appropriate PM list and generation. Assist in PESHR / Safety reviews. Assist in generating training materials for rolling mill operating & maintenance forces as needed. This position will provide management and leadership for the implementation of all key mechanical systems on site. This role will support the commissioning, start up and operating phases of a large industrial construction project. Responsibilities require expert knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems, hydraulic systems, drive trains, large rotating equipment, and the associated control/operation of such equipment in an Aluminum Rolling Mill. This individual will be focused on project completion activities along with process optimization to get equipment

The incumbent will be required to act quickly against market needs to better serve our existing and potential customers. Core Activity: Provide technical support to local plant and customers for brazing sheet new product development and application, especially mid & long term product/solution development Provide technical service in brazing sheet market analysis and strategy planning Cooperate with commercial team to promote Alcoa brazing sheet products Work with technical team and institutes to strengthen local R&D capability Provide technical support for Alcoa strategic projects Initiate mid & long term product development projects and coordinate with US technical team, local plant and customers to fulfill the projects Participate in training as per the project requirements. Work with customers for new technology/product application and problem-solving Major Requirements: PhD/Master degree in Engineering Minimum of 3-year working experience in brazing sheet R&D area Knowledge of materials, production processes and applications Capability for project management and multi-side coordination Good English skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking Ability to work in a team with good communication skills Creating an inspiring vision and acting in a courageous and self-determined way
