The Thinker The first large-scale cast of French sculptor Auguste Rodin s The Thinker has resided in front of Grawemeyer Hall since 1949. In 2012, the sculpture was completely refinished. Tobacco Research UofL researchers are using tobacco plants to reproduce the first 100%-effective cancer vaccine, which is heading into clinical trials. Researchers are applying this same technology to the international fight against HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.
