Web-based data management, daily planning, and reporting system for Mondo Reading Intervention programs Analyzes multiple assessment measures to determine intensity of required intervention Forms small groups for intervention Provides small group intervention rotations Automatizes and expedites planning for daily instruction Enables capture of progress monitoring notes from small group sessions Generates reports that are meaningful, actionable, and accessible

How does Datazone support Mondo Intervention? Mondo Intervention is a research-based reading intervention program that includes formative assessments, a complete oral language program, and a broad selection of leveled texts. Optional components include Bookshop Phonics, shared reading, and read aloud materials. Clear pacing charts and lesson plans enable precise differentiation and focused interventions for all students in need. It supports teachers in both Tier 1 (in-classroom) and Tier 2 interventions. Mondo Intervention has been paired with Datazone to take reading intervention to a new level, empowering teachers with assessment and grouping support, daily planning, and reporting capabilities that facilitate and document efficient, targeted interventions. Datazone is designed around the workflow that teachers undertake every day. A particular benefit is the customizable reports menu, which links to RTI requirements such as progress monitoring and small group instructional encounters. Last Week 9/12/211 1/7/211 Reading Guidi, Paolo 16 2 9 7 Lee, Emily 16 2 6 1 Parker, Sherry 12 16 7 5 Ruiz, Hector 16 2 14 2 Taylor, Eric 12 16 8 4 Bernstein, Amy 15 19 4 11 Average 14.5 185 8 6.5 All intervention programs contend with limited time blocks and scheduling challenges; Datazone Intervention simplifies the processes that come both before and after reading intervention instruction, enabling teachers to maximize their instructional time and energy. A nalyzes multiple assessment measures to determine intensity of required intervention for each student After logging in to Datazone Intervention, teachers view their class roster/s. They have the option of viewing either all their students or just those receiving intervention. A drop-down menu enables teachers with multiple intervention classes to select the one they wish to view. Datazone analyzes the multiple assessment measures to determine the required intensity of intervention on the Progress Monitoring report, which also helps teachers diagnose specific areas of need. The assessments listed are determined by the district; Datazone supports the use of alternative assessment measures, such as DIBELS or DRA.

The column headers on the color-coded Progress Monitoring report are appropriate grade-level required assessments. Teachers may click on an alert flag to read a message regarding discrepancies in assessment results and explanations of resulting placement. Progress Monitoring Report (tabular view) Forms small instructional groups for intervention Datazone Intervention instantly formulates and populates appropriate small groups for intervention. Group formations are determined by the assessment scores that were entered into the Class Data Summary Sheet. Students can be assessed and/or added to a group after initial groups are formed. Teachers always have the option of using dragand-drop to override placements when professional judgment or other information indicates that a change would be appropriate. The Small Group Planner can include a few small intervention groups or the entire class. Taylor, Eric Guidi, Paolo Parker, Sherry Ruiz, Hector Bernstein, Amy Lee, Emily Small Group Intervention Planner Colored flags indicate required instructional intensity for each group.

Suggests a schedule of daily small group intervention rotations In addition to auto-populating small groups on the Small Group Planner, Datazone Intervention creates comprehensive small group rotations for each day s intervention instruction. Once again teachers may use their professional judgment to make adjustments to the groups using the drag-and-drop functionality. The three groups that were populated on the Small Group Planner (see prior page) are scheduled for two weeks of small group intervention rotations. Available intervention time is determined by the school and is configurable by grade level. Datazone warns teachers when scheduled intervention exceeds the allotted time. Small Group Intervention Rotations (4 minutes) Small Group Intervention Rotations Time totals appear in red when scheduled instructional time exceeds the allotted amount. Colored flags indicate the required level of instructional intensity (red = intensive; yellow = strategic; green = benchmark)

Automatizes and expedites planning for daily instruction with scope & sequence/pacing charts for each intervention group and each instructional strategy Datazone Intervention autopopulates and expedites daily planning through use of the Scope & Sequence/Pacing Charts. These charts set out a strategic sequence of instructional comprehension focuses that spiral in complexity. Teachers have the option of progressing through the lessons as suggested on the Datazone Focus Sheet or of overriding the selection when professional judgment indicates that a different focus is needed to meet the specific needs of their intervention students. They can construct schedules that fit their time allotments during the reading block or intervention block by using combinations of 1-, 15-, or 2-minute instructional segments for maximum flexibility. Small Group Intervention Daily Focus Sheet (partial) Teachers can override Datazone and select a focus from the Pacing Chart that may be more appropriate to the needs of their intervention students.

Enables capture of progress monitoring notes from small group sessions The Daily Focus Sheet facilitates planning, evaluation of small group interventions, and assessment of student progress through links to the Mondo Intervention scope & sequence. Progress monitoring of individual students on each instructional focus is supported by a simple drop-down option. Daily Focus Sheets track whole and small group intervention time, and allow teachers to continuously monitor student progress. Datazone Intervention provides a comprehensive record of instruction, including the amount of time spent in both whole and small group interventions. In addition, Daily Focus Sheets enable teachers to capture scores and comments linked to specific lessons for each student. Drop-downs facilitate thoughtful progress monitoring on each instructional focus for every student. Small Group Intervention Daily Focus Sheet (partial) Teachers can follow up their instruction with progress monitoring observations using a tablet or desktop computer. Teachers can jot down student observations and instructional evaluations for future reference.

Generates reports that are meaningful, actionable, and accessible The following reports can be created and printed with Datazone Intervention. Name of Report Explanation Class Data Summary Immediate access to information from multiple measures of learning indicators for specific skills or comprehension strategies aligned to state standards Standards Mastery Growth Track students growth rates measured against state standards Growth Model Track student achievement and growth over time Small Group Planner Group students by proficiency level and manage their instructional cycles in 1-day rotations Daily Focus Sheet Immediate access to precise instructional focuses for each student, based on their assessed needs RTI Instructional Focus Report Track intervention services (including RTI) and instructional encounters over time for individual students Classroom Response to Intervention Tracks number of instructional sessions and total time for intervention students Reading Indicator Tracking Enables users to review prior reading block focuses with the ability to filter by date Skills Indicator Tracking Enables users to review phonics focuses with the ability to filter by date Focus Sheet Rollups Enables users to review prior lessons with the ability to filter by instructional strategy, group, and date Comparative Reporting Track student performance in relation to the class, school, and district Individual assessment graphs show a student s position (black dot) within entire class (graphed by intensive, strategic, and benchmark results) as well as student s individual scores and percentile ranks. Class text levels (y-axis) are graphed by pre, mid, and current. Red horizontal lines represent pre and mid-test minimum standards.
