Version PL/PM.2.03 Display Issue CR_0000162560 GMT+06:00 Almaty, Novosibirsk defaults to GMT+06:30 Yangon, Rangoon, in Network Setup Time Zone as Status System Clock. Version PL/PM.2.02 Port Communication CR_0000154164 PS1810 switch is not able to ping or discover ILO addresses. SSL CR_0000158247 The internal OpenSSL version of the switch has been upgraded to fix industry-wide security issues associated with the prior version. Version PL/PM.2.01 Config CR_0000147216 If there are spaces in the community name, the configuration upload fails. Fixes 7
DHCP CR_0000143154 When using DHCP as opposed to a static IP address, the switch hostname does not display correctly in DHCP client list on the DHCP server. The host name may look similar to hp1810-ge-70-b1-50 instead. MAC Table Management CR_0000143013 The switch loses communication over the trunk ports following a reboot. Seen primarily in installations between a pair of 1810 s. Workaround: Disconnect one cable of the trunk link (port 7 or port 8) momentarily, then re-connect it. CR_0000145455 If a VLAN has no members and the user attempts to configure it as the management VLAN, there will be a warning. If the user continues, the configuration is accepted, then access via the web UI for management is lost. The only recourse is to perform a factory reset. Port Connectivity CR_0000145451 The Port configuration web UI page is not properly updated for status when switching between Auto and manual speed/duplex settings. Switch Initialization CR_0000145904 The Diagnostics Ping Test result from the web UI will be incomplete if the size attribute entered is greater than 512 bytes. Version PL/PM.1.9 Config SNMP CR_0000141066 The switch does not allow spaces in VLAN names. With this fix, spaces are allowed. Bug_000293 The special characters allowed for SNMP community names do not match the special characters allowed for passwords. With this fix, the same special characters are allowed for SNMP community names and for passwords. Web Management Bug_000135 The settings for Spanning Tree Bridge Configuration list the allowable ranges but not the default values. This fix adds the default values to the text on the webpage. Version PL/PM.1.8 Link CR_0000134013 The client fails to establish link with the switch, if it is moved from a port that was manually configured for 10 Mbps Half-Duplex (or 10 Mbps Full-Duplex) to a port that is configured for auto-negotiation. Version PL/PM.1.7 DHCP CR_0000131448 The switch receives a DHCP address from the regular pool instead of the DHCP address that was reserved for the switch's MAC address. This has been observed with Windows 2003 and 2008 servers. 8 PL/PM.2.04 Release Notes
Passwords Port Access CR_0000131590 Password changes do not take effect when some valid special characters are used. CR_0000132738 The port-to-vlan mapping is wrongly changed by the switch, after the user changes the management VLAN from the default (VLAN 1) to a different VLAN. Web Management CR_0000132739 When the user changes the Management VLAN, the switch generates a difficult-to-understand pop-up warning message. This fix improves the warning message. Version PL/PM.1.6 Config Link CR_0000130710 A config file that includes untagged ports in a VLAN does not function properly after the config file is saved to a server, then uploaded to the switch, and the switch is rebooted. After reboot, the switch sends tagged frames from those untagged ports. This issue affects all VLANs except VLAN 1. CR_0000131952 The 1810 v2 switches do not establish link when connected with a six-inch cable. Version PL/PM.1.5 Transceivers Bug_000171 Some SX and LX transceivers are flagged as unsupported by the switch. Version PL/PM.1.4 No fixes were included in software versions PL/PM.1.4. Version PL/PM.1.3 SNMP Bug_000131 The LLDP OID is incorrect in switch software, which results in incorrect network management topology discovery. Version PL/PM.1.2 No fixes were included in version PL/PM.1.2. Issues and workarounds Version PL/PM.1.5 Transceivers (Bug_000202) - After hotswapping between 100-megabit and 1-gigabit transceivers, the Link Speed options on the Switching Port Configuration page are not updated with all of the valid settings. Transceivers (Bug_000203) - Transceiver types are not properly recognized when the Link Speed setting is changed from Auto to another value. Issues and workarounds 9
Version PL/PM.1.2 Counters (Bug_000134) - The Transmitted Pause Frames counter does not increment for 10/100 ports. Spanning Tree (Bug_000132) - On the Status Spanning Tree page, ports that belong to a trunk display a role similar to Part of TRK2.
