Reverse Fonts - Minimum 8 point text if reversed out on a background colour Screen Ruling - 100lpi Screen Angles - M: 45, C: 75, Y: 0, K: 15 Image resolution - 200dpi Line resolution - 1016dpi TAC - 240% File Naming Convention Example: AD250309001.pdf AD = Publication / Edition Code 250309 = Date of publication 001 = Page number.pdf = File type Photographic Recommendations To increase the clarity of your photographs on newsprint paper weights - we recommend that your photography desk: 1. increases both the brightness and contrast of your images, to the point where they may look slightly exaggerated or slightly unnatural. 2. apply an unsharp mask filter in photoshop to define edges. 3. avoid using overly dark photos.
