Professional Program Deadlines for Fall ADMISSIONS At Jenkins, we are committed to welcoming competitive individuals from all walks of life who want to expand their business skills inside and outside of the classroom. We help you roll up your sleeves, get real, and get started on the most important step of your career. Our admissions requirements are competitive. Successful candidates exhibit: A high level of intellectual aptitude and performance An employment history demonstrating management experience or potential Personal attributes that suggest leadership, maturity, and a teamwork orientation A commitment to personal and professional success Previous undergaduate and graduate work are a baseline for intellectual performance and potential. A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university is required. Course selection, rigor of the major, and academic caliber of the institution are also assessed. Two years of work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree is strongly recommended for full-time students. Professional program students must have at least two years of full-time, post-baccalaureate work experience. Volunteer and military experience can help strengthen an application. All applicants are required to submit official GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination) scores unless they qualify for a waiver. There is no preference between the two tests and scores for both are valid for five years. Applicants with the US degree equivalent of a Ph.D., Pharm.D., JD, or MD are automatically waived from the GMAT/GRE. The Admissions Committee will consider waivers for other competitive applicants who submit a waiver request prior to applying. Details on waiver requests may be found at MBA.NCSU.EDU. International students who have not completed one year of full-time study in the U.S. must also submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores to complete the application. A minimum score of 100 is required for the internet-based TOEFL or 7.5 on the IELTS. Professional program applicants should check the MBA website for information on TOEFL waivers. Pre-requisite courses are not required at the time of application; however, a college-level statistics or calculus course must be completed with a grade of C or higher prior to the start of MBA coursework.
