Passes 1. What is the new Navegante Pass? It is a pass that allows full mobility throughout the city of Lisbon by integrating the public transport companies Carris, ML and CP in the city s urban circuits. Included in this pass are the following CP routes: Belém-Cais do Sodré (Cascais line), Benfica-Rossio and Benfica-Oriente (Sintra line), Oriente-Santa Apolónia (Azambuja line) and Alcântara Terra-Oriente (belt-line). euros 2. What are the options and prices of the Navegante Pass? The Navegante Pass is available both in the urban and whole network options Navegante urban pass Carris and Metro urban crown + CP/Lisbon urban circuits 35,00 Navegante network pass Carris and Metro whole networks + CP/Lisbon urban circuits 40,00 3. Will the Metro and Carris own passes continue to exist? Theses passes, including the 4_18 and sub23 options, will no longer be available for first time purchases. However, customers who already have these passes loaded onto their Lisboa viva cards may continue to reload them until the end of 2012. Carris and Metro s own passes: Metro urban pass 30-days 29,00 Metro network pass 30-days 35,00 Carris urban pass 30-days 29,00 Carris network pass 30-days 35,00 Starting 1 January 2013, these passes will be replaced by the Navegante passes, in the options specified in section 2. 4. What are the advantages of replacing Metro and Carris passes with the Navegante pass? Customers who choose the Navegante pass will have greater mobility in the city of Lisbon. In addition, customers who already use the Metro or the Carris own passes, will benefit from a 3 discount every time they load the Navegante pass during 2012. This discount does not apply to customers with a Metro or Carris pass with the 4_18@escola.tp and sub23@superior.tp profiles. For this purpose, the first purchase of the Navegante pass will have to be made at a sales office from Metro, Carris or CP. 5. Are there any combined passes between the Navegante and other operators? Yes, the following combinations between the Navegante pass and the Transtejo/Soflusa network are available: Navegante/ Barreiro; Navegante/ Seixal and Montijo; Navegante/Cacilhas. These options are also available for the 4_18 and sub23 profiles. These new passes will replace the following passes: CA/ML/TT-Cacilhas, L/TT-Sx and L/SL-Barreiro. 6. What other changes will occur from the 1st February? As of 1 February, all passes exclusively for working days will cease to exist, specifically the combined Metro/TT pass for working days. However, the passes already purchased and loaded may continue to be used until the end of their expiry date. The ML/CP Lisboa pass was eliminated and replaced by the Navegante pass. The remaining intermodal and combined passes will continue the same. Discounts 7. Are there discounts for any passes? The following discounts apply to customers with the card profiles 4_18, sub23, Social+, Retired/Pensioner, Elderly and Child: A. Pass 4_18 (all Navegante, combined and intermodal passes) 25% discount: Beneficiaries of grade B of the Social Education Allowance or students whose families are eligible/beneficiaries of the pass Social + 60% discount: Beneficiaries of level A of the Social Education Allowance B. Pass Sub23 (all Navegante, combined and intermodal passes) 25% discount: Students whose families are eligible/beneficiaries of the pass Social + 60% discount: Beneficiaries of the Social Education Allowance for higher level education C. Social+ Pass (all Navegante and intermodal passes) 25% discount retirees and pensioners with a pension equal to or less than 1.2 times the value of the IAS (Social Support Index); recipients of Unemployment Benefits receiving a amount equal to or less than 1.2 times the value of the IAS; customers whose household average income is equal to or less than 1.2 times the value of the IAS; 50% discount for beneficiaries of the Rendimento social de inserção or the Complemento solidário de idoso. D. Retired/Pensioners, Senior and Child (all intermodal and Navegante passes) 25% discount - the current requirements for obtaining these profiles must be complied. Non-frequent fares (tickets and zapping) 8. What will change in the Metro single tickets? As of 1 February 2012, there will be one single journey ticket valid for the entire Metro network, priced at 1.25, thus eliminating the current tickets for one or two zones. All tickets for one or two zones purchased before 1 February may still be used. 9. What will change in the Metro with the zapping fares? The zapping stored value, valid for the Metro, Carris, CP and Transtejo/Soflusa will have the following changes: There will be a minimum loading option of 5, besides the 10 and 15 loading options and respective bonuses; One journey in the Metro network will have the single cost of 1.15, valid for both zones.
