FAR 141 TRAINING PROGRAM PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM PAGE B-1 This TCO meets all of the curriculum requirements for the Private Pilot Certification Course contained in Appendix B of FAR Part 141. These curriculum contents are intended to parallel the Private Pilot Airplane Single-Engine Land Practical Test Standards (PTS). The training syllabus herein contains a separate ground training course and a flight training course, which will be taught concurrently. OBJECTIVE OF TRAINING: The trainee will obtain the knowledge, skill and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for a private pilot certificate with an airplane category rating and a single-engine land class rating. COURSE COMPLETION STANDARDS: The trainee must demonstrate through written tests, practical tests and through appropriate records that he/she meets the knowledge, skill and experience requirements necessary to obtain a private pilot certificate with an airplane category rating and a single-engine land class rating. Each individual must satisfactorily complete at least one stage of training within each training period of not more than 90 days. If 90 days are exceeded, a review ground and flight session must be given by the Chief or Assistant Chief Instructor to determine stage progress and course completion expectations. Each stage must be completed in the order listed before advancing to the next stage. Course Completion Standards require that each lesson be satisfactory. In addition, the trainee must meet or exceed the standards listed for each area of operation in the Practical Test Standards. Note: Course ground and flight times in this program are of minimum levels necessary to complete the program. Actual times may be greater in order to meet required standards. FAR 141 TRAINING PROGRAM PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM PAGE B-2 PRIVATE PILOT COURSE INTRODUCTION The Private Pilot Course is designed to train a student with no previous flight experience and upon completion of the course be ready for the Private Pilot Practical Test. COURSE OVERVIEW The course is divided into two segments, Ground Training and Flight Training. The Ground Training consists of 40 hours of structured training. Flight Training consists of 40 hours of structured training in aircraft. Training concepts are as follows: Student homework assignment Instructor ground training Computer based training practice Flight lesson application Review and record completion Student homework assignment Using this concept the student will develop the knowledge necessary to meet standards prior to flight training application. GROUND TRAINING Ground Training is divided into three stage levels PRESOLO EXAM The exam is designed to determine if the student has the necessary knowledge for solo flight. The exam is administered and graded by the instructor who will be endorsing the student for solo flight. A grade of 80% or greater is required. The test is reviewed and deficient areas will be corrected and retested through verbal quizzing. Ground curriculum STAGE EXAMS Stage exams are given at the completion of each module of training to measure trainee knowledge. STAGE I EXAM The exam will test understanding of Jeppesen chapters 1-5 of the Private Pilot Manual. STAGE II EXAM The exam will test understanding of Jeppesen chapters 6-7 of the Private Pilot Manual. STAGE III EXAM The exam will test understanding of Jeppesen chapters 8-12 of the Private Pilot Manual. FINAL EXAM The final exam will measure the understanding of the material presented in the ground program in preparation for the Private Pilot Knowledge test. FLIGHT TRAINING Flight training is divided into three stages and six different training areas of concentration. Ground training contains class with flight lesson. Each flight lesson contains an objective, completion standards, a list of events. Each event must be completely understood prior to flight practice. PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM PAGE B-4 Flight Stage Exams STAGE I Stage I is preparation to fly solo covering basic maneuvers and procedures. STAGE II During Stage II the trainee will become proficient in the advanced maneuvers and cross-country training. The Knowledge Test will be completed at this stage. STAGE III During Stage III the trainee will prepare for the Private Pilot Flight Check and completion of solo cross-country flying. POSTFLIGHT EVALUATION Postflight Evaluations are used to grade each event or element for pilot records. PILOT BRIEFINGS Pilot Briefings are conducted prior to most dual and solo flight lessons to review and explain entire lesson. Briefings are also conducted to teach both knowledge test subject matter and practical test knowledge areas.

Falcon Aviation Academy, LLC FAR 141 TRAINING PROGRAM PILOT TRAINING PROGRAM PAGE B-9 CURRICULUM SEGMENT: GROUND TRAINING GROUND TRAINING COURSE OBJECTIVES Preparation for the requirements of the Private Pilot Knowledge Test and Practical Test. Ground training may be individually based or classroom based, or both. The individual sequence is Instructor introduction of the lesson, student self study including chapter quizzing, followed by Instructor review and student demonstration of knowledge. Each lesson contains ground time which is a combination of Instruction and student self study. The Instructor certifies a lesson complete after adequate testing of student knowledge. The term class discussion means individual briefing, classroom lecture or Instructor led discussion. GROUND TRAINING COMPLETION STANDARDS Ground Training will be complete when the trainee satisfactory completes all required exams and the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Test. STAGE I STAGE I OBJECTIVES To develop the trainee s knowledge of the FAR, the AIM (Official Guide to Basic Flight Information and Air Traffic Control (ATC) Procedures), the AC system, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Part 830 and Airport Facility Directory and the kind of flight operations authorized by the private pilot certificate. STAGE I COMPLETION STANDARDS This stage will be completed successfully when the trainee passes the Stage I final written examination with a grade of 80 percent. The student will also complete all necessary documents for Falcon Aviation Academy pilot in command responsibilities and aircraft rental documents. The Policy and Procedures manual will be tested at this stage and fully understood by the student.

STAGE II COMPLETION STANDARDS This stage will be complete when the trainee passes the Stage II final written examination with a grade of 80 percent. The student is introduced to short-field and soft-field takeoff and landing procedures, as well as night flying, which are important steps in preparation for crosscountry training. Additionally, greater emphasis is placed on attitude control by instrument reference to increase the student s overall competence. In the cross-country phase, the student will learn to plan and conduct cross-country flights using pilotage, dead reckoning and radio navigation systems and how to safely conduct flights in the National Airspace System. STAGE II COMPLETION STANDARDS This stage is complete when the student can accurately plan and conduct cross-country flights. In addition the student will have the proficiency to safely demonstrate consistent results in performing short-field and soft-field takeoffs and landings and night operations. The proficiency level must be such that the successful and safe outcome of each task is never seriously in doubt.
