Job Seeker Account Creation and Registration Instructions You may use the Job Search feature anonymously, meaning that you are not required to have an account or registration. An account (Logon ID and Password) is required if you want to save and use the My Favorite Job Searches feature. To set up an account, click on Set up an Account on Job Seeker Tools on the dark blue menu bar, or in the orange box on the homepage. A registration (an account plus some additional information) is required if you want to use the My Résumé or My Work Application feature, or when it is required for program eligibility or by your case manager. If you already have an account (Logon ID and Password), please go to Registration Instructions on page 5. If you do not yet have an account (Logon ID and Password), please create an account, and then register. Account Creation and Registration Instructions 1. 2. In the orange Secure Log In box, click on the Set up an Account link. 3. Read the information on the Self Registration page, and the User Acceptance Agreement. Click on the Accept button. February 9, 2009 2
4. Fill in your information on the Account Creation page. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk *. Make sure your email address is spelled correctly, and formatted correctly. Click on the Password Tips link if you need help creating a password. Click on the Security question tips link if you need help creating a security question and answer. Caution: If you click on the click here link in the Verification section, the information you entered will be wiped out when you return to the Account Creation page. 5. Click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page. If there is any missing, required information, or any problems, a bold red error message will appear next to the field(s) that need to be corrected. February 9, 2009 3
6. The Logon Creation page will be displayed. To print the page, click on the Print icon on the browser s tool bar, or click on File, then on Print. 7. Click on the Done button. If a bold red error message is displayed indicating that there is a problem with your Social Security Number, please try entering your information again, or contact DET Security by calling 608-267-9690 during business hours, Monday through Friday.
