FESTAS DE LISBOA ANDAR EM FESTA SUBMISSION OF ARTISTIC PROJECTS 1. FRAMEWORK AND AIMS 1.1. As in previous editions, EGEAC Empresa de Gestão de Equipamentos e Animação Cultural, E.M. is looking forward to develop the program ANDAR EM FESTA, within Festas de Lisboa 15. The program will take place in the city of Lisbon, during June 2015. 1.2. ANDAR EM FESTA is an initiative that wills to be participatory by inviting everybody to create and recreate, to have fun and be part of a moment in a certain urban environment. 1.3. The main aim of ANDAR EM FESTA is to develop diverse artistic disciplines in Lisbon s public area, demanding these spaces as means of public expression and interaction with the citizens. 1.4. With the present procedure, EGEAC wants to encourage creators and enhance the production of artistic projects in diverse artistic categories. 1.5. Thereby the aim is to select artistic projects that can be presented publicly, in June 2015, within ANDAR EM FESTA, in following places: a) Access Staircase to Panteão Nacional; b) Access Staircase to Rocha de Conde de Óbidos Belvedere; c) Fonte Luminosa s Staircase; d) São Pedro de Alcântara Garden Staircase; 2. PARTICIPATION TERMS 2.1. The present procedure is open to collective bodies, individuals and groups of people, since these last two are not under legal age.
2.2. The participants are responsible by the originality of the submitted tenders, must guarantee their authorship and assume the total responsibility of eventual complaints from elsewhere, relative to copyright and related rights. 2.3. EGEAC guarantees the confidentiality of all the participants submitted data, being all information used only for the purpose defined in the present document. 2.4. All costs inherent to the projects presentation, in respect of the present procedure, are exclusively under the participant s responsibility. 3. SUBMITTING PROPOSALS 3.1. Proposals must be sent by mail, in a sealed envelope, to EGEAC, a/c da Direcção de Programação Cultural, Calçada Marquês de Tancos, n. º 2 1100-340 Lisboa. 3.2. Proposals can also be sent by email, to the address andaremfesta@egeac.pt, in a PDF file, with maximum 8MB (eight megabytes) size. 3.3. The submissions deadline is January 16 th 2015, both by email and by post, until 18h00. Tenders submitted after the deadline will be excluded. 4. PROPOSALS REQUIREMENTS AND CONTENT 4.1. Each participation process must be bounded, and include the identification form (attached in the end of this document) correctly filled. 4.2. The participants must only apply with a maximum of 2 (two) creation proposals for each of the places identified in the 1.5 item. More number of proposals involve the exclusion of the competitor(s). 4.3. Each project must be clearly explained and be presented with a 10 (ten) page document (maximum), A4 format, regardless the means used to the proposal delivery.
4.4. Each artistic creation project, for each proposed place, must include a detailed budget, which has to consider: a) Not presenting a global budget higher that 12.500,00 (twelve thousand five hundred Euros); b) The artistic creation s permanence and/or its presentation, within a minimum of 5 (five) consecutive days; c) Assuming all technical and logistic charges (including the assembly and disassembly), as well its maintenance; d) Assuming all charges in the course an eventual need of damage repair caused by the projects presentation. e) The amount defined in a) above shouldn t consider the inherent expenses of the licensing process and authorizations, which will be assumed by EGEAC. 4.5. The proposition must consider the project s public presentation being on urban space and must ensure it from risks of vandalism, theft/ robbery and climate conditions. 4.6. Despite the intention of breaking the daily routine, the proposition must guarantee that the submitted projects allow people s regular movement, as well as must consider the security norms demanded in the place of execution, and be adapted to them. 4.7. The proposal can bring attached elements, such as images, videos and/or representative documents, considered useful and relevant for a better comprehension of each artistic project, since those attaches don t violate the limit size that the proposal must respect, as defined at 3.2 (8MB). 5. SELECTION 5.1. The projects will be selected by a Jury, constituted for the purpose and who will take the final decision. There will be no claim or appeal period.
5.2. In the evaluation process, the Jury, for the proposed projects, will consider the following skills: a) Innovative and differentiating nature of the artistic project; b) Artistic project s creative nature; c) The interaction and involvement with the community; d) The creative project must be adaptable and work in diverse contexts, allowing its implementation in the places mentioned above; e) Budget workability. 5.3. During the evaluation process the jury might ask for additional documents or information, since he considers them needed for a better comprehension of the presented proposals. 5.4. The Jury will choose four projects, one for each of the defined presentation places, which are mentioned at 1.5. 5.5. The participants with selected artistic projects in the ambit of the present procedure: a) Will hold with EGEAC, in convenient time, the procedure of public hire and will celebrate a contract that will define, in precision, all the terms for the project s execution and the obligations within the involved parts. b) Authorize, from now on, the marketing of images and information about their projects, in any communicational or promotional mean and support of the ANDAR EM FESTA/Festas de Lisboa 15 initiative; c) Give EGEAC all needed materials, texts and images, for communication and promotional means. 6. RESULTS ANNOUNCMENT 6.1. EGEAC will make the results announcement to all participants, selected and unselected, by email, until March 2 nd 2015.
6.2. The results of the present procedure will also be communicated by all other means that EGEAC will define as appropriate. 7. REQUEST OF NON SELECTED PROPOSALS 7.1. The non selected proposals delivered, by hand or post, can be restored by their respective authors, within a 30 (thirty) days period, counting from the day of the results announcement, defined at point 6, nº 1 above. 7.2. The devolution of the proposals mentioned in the point above, must be done in the place of the proposal delivery, or if that s not possible, the devolution will be done by EGEAC, since receiving the indications of the devolution procedure. 8. DOUBTS AND OMITED CASES 8.1. In the present participation conditions, any interpretation doubts or any situation not predicted in this procedure must be sent to andaremfesta@egeac.pt, between January 5 th and 8 th, 2015. 8.2. EGEAC will answer the submitted doubts until January 9 th 2015. 8.3. EGEAC is totally responsible for the resolution of the omitted cases. In case of any needed justification, that will be communicated through its site: www.egeac.pt. 9. FINAL DISPOSITION 9.1. The presentation of proposal means the unconditional acceptance of the terms defined in this participation conditions.
