- Your student will complete a science fair project, so they will need supplies specific to the project they select. Module 1 Supplies: - Ruler - Meter stick with millimeters and centimeters - Tape measure Module 2 Supplies: - 2 different sized balls (example: golf ball, ping pong ball, softball, etc.) - 2 cookie sheets - Camera - Graph paper - Small to medium size cardboard box with a lid - Marbles (enough to fill the box almost to the lid) - Scissors Module 3 Supplies: - At least 10 different colored pencils or crayons - Paper Towel (or coffee filter) - 3 clear plastic or glass drinking glasses - 3 different kinds of black markers - 13 paper clips - 1 hole punch - 1 pencil, - 1 ruler - 1 piece of tape for every strip of paper towel or coffee filter being tested - Water - A tray or plate for samples (can be paper or other material) - Spoon - 2 clean eye droppers or pipettes - Baking soda - Vinegar - Flour

- Iodine - Toothpicks - Purple cabbage (you must use purple cabbage) - 7 clear glasses - Knife - Cutting board - Blender or 1 pot and stove to boil the liquid out of the cabbage - Strainer or colander - Large bowl - Pitcher - Hot water - 6 different household items (ex. vinegar, drain cleaner, glass cleaner, baking soda in water, milk, lemon juice, ammonia, Epsom salts) - 9 clean containers (can be plastic cups) - 1 ph scale (there is an example a scale within the curriculum) - Waxed paper or aluminum foil - Rubber bands or masking tape Module 4 Supplies: - one balloon - wool scarf or sweater - water faucet - food coloring - water - stalk of celery - 1 piece of bubble gum - Kitchen scale that measures grams. If you do not have a scale, then you will need the following: o 12 inch ruler o Pencil o 2 pieces of cardboard ( 3 inch squares) o Tape o US coins/dollars - A beaker or kitchen measuring cup with metric measurements - Two or three different size rocks/pebbles - A ball (golf ball) - Two different lengths of pencils - 2 or 3 chicken eggs - 1 tall glass container - 1 box of table salt

- 1 spoon - 1 fifteen centimeter square of heavy duty aluminum foil - 75-100 pennies - 1 large bowl or a sink full of water Module 6 Supplies: - 2 toy cars (such as hot wheels) - Cardboard - towel or fabric - textbooks - tape - yardstick - 2 large plastic bottles exactly alike with their caps - Water - measuring cup - playground with tall slide or long smooth slope - tape or sidewalk chalk - 1 clear glass - 1 pencil - 1 working flashlight - 1 square of aluminum foil - 1 rubber band - 1 needle - 1 sheet of white typing paper Module 7 Supplies: - plastic glass - 1 small ball or marble - Tube sock - 1 ball that will fit into the sock - 1 rope (twine or heavy duty string) - 1 meter stick or tape - 3 different lengths of heavy duty string (25 cm, 50 cm, and 97.5 cm) - 2 metal washers or metal nuts - 1 clothes hanger or ceiling hook - 1 watch with a second hand or stop watch - 1 piece of white paper or cardboard - 1 pencil or marker

- 100 cm aquarium air-line tubing (found at hardware stores, pet shops, or aquarium stores at low cost) - 1 rubber band - 1 large wide mouthed jar (can be plastic) - 1 baking pan - 1 large plastic soda bottle - 1 bowl - 1 large piece of aluminum foil - Cooking pot or kitchen sink with a stopper - 1 small glass or plastic bottle - 2 or 3 marbles or small, clean stones - food coloring or water colors - pizza box - 2 clear sheet protectors - black construction paper - duct tape - clear masking or packing tape - box knife - thermometer (optional) - wooden skewer - glue stick (Elmer's glue will work, too) - tin foil - ruler - pen - a comb - a balloon - piece of tissue paper Module 8 Supplies: - 2 bar magnets - 1 meter of string - Marker - 1 small, medium and large sized ceramic magnet - 1 box of 100 paper metal clips - Pencil - 1 extra-large steel nail (at least 3 3/4 inches or 9 1/2 centimeters long) - 2 or 3 paper clips - safety googles (or safety glasses/sunglasses) - 1 meter 25 gauge copper wire

- 1 very large nail or screw driver - 1 AA 1.5 volt battery - 1 utility knife - utility scissors or matte knife - insulation tape - 3 feet or 1 meter of insulated 22 or 24 gauge wire - 1 D cell battery - wire strippers or scissors - permanent marker - 1 plastic cup - 2 disk magnets - 2 large paper clips - 2 large rubber bands - 4 alligator cable clips - 1 ceramic magnet - 15 cm of string - Ruler - Penny - Tape - table with wooden top - cookie sheet or other thin flat piece of metal - paper bag - plastic bag - 1 bowl 3/4 full of water - 1 long thick sewing needle - 1 strong ceramic bar magnet - 1 styrofoam peanut or paper that will float on the water - 1 drinking straw - 1 glass or cup of water - Scissors - 1 toy boat - 20 cm string - 1 pool of water (can be in a bathtub) Module 9 Supplies: - 1 table - 1 broom - 1 chair with the back as tall as the table - Scissors - meter stick (yardstick)

- string - brick (heavy stone) - paper and pencil - 1 empty ribbon spool - hole punch - 3 meters of string - 1 plastic cup - 2 pencils or chopsticks that will fit through the hole in the spool - 1 or 2 heavy books - 1 paint stirrer - 1 large paper clip - 2 meters of string - plastic hanging cup - 1 or 2 rocks that will fit into the plastic cup - empty ribbon or thread spool - marker Module 10 Supplies: - 35 to 40 popsicle sticks - Glue - ruler - yogurt or applesauce cup - rocks - string - four heavy books - circular tube 8 to 20 cm in diameter (an oatmeal box, peanut butter jar, or large can of fruit works well) - 12 to 30 small stones - 1 block of clay or Play-Doh - 1 medium size piece of cardboard - baking pan about 6 to 8 cm deep - sand or dirt to fill the baking pan one half or two thirds full - water - popsicle sticks (a minimum of 30)

- 3 to 5 plastic grocery bags - 1 turkey baster - 2 thick hard cover books the same height - sheets of typing or construction paper - one hundred paper clips or fifty pennies - ruler - glue - 2 high back chairs with an opening in the back (can be metal) - 4 heavy books - 1 spool of heavy string - 1 spool of lighter string - meter stick - 1 1/2 meters of thin cardboard - hole punch - marker
