Smart Network Infrastructure Smart Network Infrastructure is the universal communications platform which supports the entire spectrum of manufacturing applications. PROFINET is a future core element of automation applications at the field level. Smart Network Infrastructure and PROFINET are fully Ethernet based, as Ethernet is the predominant communication standard in Office IT. Seamless communication is the top priority, and only systems that are compatible with Ethernet IEEE 802.3 can guarantee seamless communication. COMPANY PROCESSES: A P P l MANUFACTURING I C A T I O N DEVElOPMENT COMMUNICATIONS PlATFORM MARKETING Smart Network Infrastructure addresses the specific need for determinism and real-time performance in automation applications. This means that the Automation IT platform supports automation systems which comply with the PROFINET standard. PROFINET is continuing to move towards generic standards. PROFINET cabling infrastructure will no longer be restricted to four-wire technology. Eight-wire solutions will also be available. In the future PROFINET cabling will support 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet. Users Installers Planners System Integrators People Power Partnership 7

PROFINET PROFINET Smart Network Infrastructure To support today s manufacturing automation systems, users need solutions at the field level that closely match the production process. Standard Ethernet communication alone does not support the broad spectrum of PROFIBUS application profiles, because Ethernet is primarily designed for communications at OSI Layers 1 and 2. Automation applications require communications, plus a large number of application profiles. PROFINET is a logical extension of PROFIBUS. The PROFINET standard is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, and it also supports Automation application profiles. It enhances communication and cabling to ensure optimal performance in industrial environments. The PROFINET communications profiles offers a real time channel, for automation applications in addition to the TCP/IP channel, but they shall not place limitations on the open design of a communications platform. These PROFINET extensions are necessary to ensure network availability for automation applications. This ist the reason, why HARTING has included PROFINET in Automation IT. Conformance Class The scope of functions supported by PROFINET is divided into Conformance Classes (CC). The CCs for automation applications are defined as follows: Conformance Class-A Data communications are based on Ethernet IEEE 802 with PROFINET Conformance Class-B CC-B communications and above are Conformance Class-C In addition to CC-B functionality, CC-C supports high-precision, synchronous, 61784-5-3 PROFINET Cabling recommended 61784-5-3 PROFINET Cabling mandatory 61784-5-3 PROFINET Cabling mandatory real time features. This class supports wireless and wired communications over copper or optical fiber. Network components connected with standard IEEE 802.3 and generic cabling can be deployed in this CC. Typical applications include automation tasks that are not time critical, parameter/software download and condition monitoring. copper or optical fiber based. Additional functions are built into the network components and terminal devices to enhance machine/system availability. Class CC-B network components must support standard IEEE 802.3 functions as well as a PROFI- NET IO extensions. Special cabling is required for this class. typical applications are the automation of industrial plants and machinery. deterministic data communications. Special network components provide reserved bandwidth for real time communications. Network components which offer standard IEEE 802.3 functions are not suitable for this conformance class. Special PROFINET cabling is needed for CC-C. Typical CC-C applications include time-critical (machine/system) automation and highprecision drive controllers in industrial plants and machinery. PROFINET Ambient Conditions Fit for the environment To reduce complexity and address the specific requirements of the automation world, PROFINET has only two (operating) environmental classes. The inside enclosure class applies to automation applications in a protected environment such as a control cabinet, and the applications directly in the field outside of a control cabinet fall into the outside enclosure class. Topology PROFINET supports Ethernet communications as well as 24 Volt and 400 Volt power distribution to the devices. PROFINET supports the following topologies for Ethernet communications: 1. Line topology, which can be closed to form a ring. It is used primarily to connect devices with integrated switches in the field. 2. Star topology, which requires a central switch. It is deployed primarily in control cabinets. 24 V Power, 400 V power supply: The line and star topologies support 24 V distribution to the devices. Hybrid cables and connectors carry 24 V power as well as Ethernet data. Line and star topologies can also distribute 400 V power. PROFINET power distribution complies with the international ISO 23570-3 power bus standard. Both topologies can be combined to form complex tree topologies. The PROFINET line topology is a distinguishing feature, because PROFINET technology supports extensive line topologies similar to PROFIBUS. PROFINET covers Ethernet communication as well as power supply for the devices by providing 24 Volt up to 400 Volt. Device Device Device Device Line topology is ideal for sequential automation systems. The cabling mirrors the logical design of the system. An example is a conveyor system where the drives are installed in series. Device Device Device Device Device Ring topology closes a line to form a ring. This increases network availability, and devices can be replaced while the network is running. Device Device Device Device Device Device Communication Device 24 Volt Power Supply PROFINET DATA Device Device Device Device The star topology is the solution of choice for automation equipment that is connected to a central control cabinet. It is also suitable for modular machines which have devices that are connected to distributed control cabinets. Lifelines in Automation Communikation & Power People Power Partnership 11

PROFINET Industrial Cabling Fit for the environment International standards exist for Ethernet cabling in machines, systems and industrial premises. IEC 61918 defines cabling inside and between automation islands. IEC 61784, which is derived from IEC 61918, contains profile-specific cabling. Profile-specific PROFINET cabling is defined in IEC 61784-5-3. ISO/IEC 24702 is the applicable standard for cabling outside automation islands in industrial premises. The standard describes a generic cabling system, and it is not PROFINET specific. Generic cabling, as well as dedicated PROFINET cabling are allowed in Conformance Class A. Design Planning and installation office premises Generic cabling ISO/IEC 11801 Offices annex Homes ISO/IEC 15018 home annex Data centres ISO/IEC 24764 ISO/IEC 14763-2 data centre annex Between Automation Island ISO/IEC 24702 industrial annex Applicationspecific cabling industrial premises Between Automation Island Within Automation Island IEC 61158 series and IEC 61784-1, -2 Installation Profiles IEC 61784-5 series (Selection + Add/Repl/Mod) IEC 61918 (Common requirements) common structure IEC 61918 12 HARTING Smart Network Infrastructure PROFINET Industrial Cabling

Generic Cabling PROFINET will run on industrial-grade generic cabling. This aspect, for example, makes it easier to migrate from industrial building cabling to system or machine cabling. In order to enhance PROFINET and make it even more fit for the future, a concerted effort is underway to add eight-wire (Gigabit-enabled) cabling to the existing fourwire solutions and to standardize the new cabling in the PROFINET guidelines. The new cabling will be based on shielded eight-wire twisted-pair cable designs with AWG 23 gauge wires and an additional inner sheath to protect the cores during assembling using the Fast-Connect System (Siemens) and the Easy Stripping System (HARTING). PROFINET cabling installation guidelines are still under revision and will now include eight-wire products. Interoperability between generic cabling and PROFINET-specific cabling facilitates seamless solutions which extend from Office IT down to the field level in the automation environment, providing the framework for Automation IT. PROFINET Cable 8-wire People Power Partnership 13

PROFINET PROFINET Cabling In addition to simplified classification of the operating environment (inside enclosure and outside enclosure), the channel has also been defined to help achieve the goals listed above. The channel establishes the link to active devices. plug connections. PROFINET supports 1 mm polymer optical fiber (POF), which offers ideal handling characteristics for industrial applications. System cables are always configured the same at both ends. There is no crossing in the cable, because PROFI- NET network components support autocrossing. Passive couplers can also act as panel feed-throughs, making it easy to implement any cabling system configuration. Four-wire technology is used on all cables and connectors to reduce the complexity of on-site assembly work. Component Model/Manufacturer s Declaration PROFINET has introduced a component model with simple selection rules. Users can take PROFINET cables and PROFINET connectors and assemble them carefully. Consider the total length and the number of connections (cable/connector). The resulting cabling meets PROFINET requirements with sufficient reserves. There is no need for elaborate planning, engineering analysis and testing. Cabling example = Number of connections Maximum overall length with cable types A, B 2 100 m 2 100 m 2 100 m The component model relies on compatible PROFINET cables and connectors. Manufacturers are required to submit a PNO manufacturer s declaration to confirm PRO- FINET conformance. PROFINET PROFINET Data Connectors The selection of PROFINET connectors depends on the application. If the emphasis is on a universal network that is compatible with office networks, then RJ45 is the right choice for data communications. RJ45 is specified across the board for inside environments. HARTING s RJ Industrial IDC technology is a very reliable RJ45 solution. The Han PushPull for outside environments can be equiped with the HARTING RJ Industrial insert. The M12 is also specified for PROFINET. Ease of handling makes polymer optical fiber the most popular choice for optical data transmission. SCRJ, which is based on the SC connector, is specified for PROFINET. SCRJ is used inside, and in combination with the Han PushPull housing, it is also suitable for outside environments. A. 24 Volt power distribution Line topology: PushPull connector The PushPull connector has been defined for power distribution which complies with the requirements of the German automotive industry. The PushPull contains a 4-pole insert and functional ground. Spring force connection technology facilitates field assembly of connectors with up to 5 wires. Maximum wire crosssection is 2.5 mm 2, and the connector is rated at 16 A. This current carrying capacity supports long line topologies. A large number of devices can be attached to a channel using T-junctions. Hybrid connector The HARTING Han 3 A hybrid RJ45 connector supports hybrid distribution systems. In addition to the RJ45 insert, the connector has 4 additional 16 A contacts which are used for two separate circuits. Star topology: M12 connector PNO allows the use of an A-coding M12 to deliver power to individual devices in star topologies. The connector is limited to one circuit and maximum 4 A. 7/8 connectors The 7/8 connector may be used as an alternative to the PushPull. machinery. Simple criterias for choosing network components support to design a complete and seamless Automation IT network. Considering active network components as well as the cabling in the HARTING Selection Guide and the perfect fit of both parts guaranties a high performing network infrastructure. Especially in machines and facilities active and passive network components merge in ones to a functional unit. The complete network can be adjusted to the environment of a building, a facility or a machine accordingly except loosing the platform character of the communication. So it is possible to use IP 67 rated network components and support special network topologies like the line- or ring topology. All PROFINET cabling components according PROFINET standard IEC 61 784-5-3 are marked by the PROFINET Logo in this document. That makes it easy to plan a network according an automation profile like e.g. PROFINET. The 8-wire cabling components are classified in the section Generic Cabling and Ethernet Cabling for 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet These components will be integrated into the extended new PROFINET cabling guidelines for Gigabit Ethernet too. Core connector interfaces supporting the 8-wire technology are the HARTING RJ Industrial 10 G, the PROFINET PushPull variant 14 (AIDA) as well as the new M12 X-coded data connector and hybrid interfaces on basis of Han 3 A. 20 HARTING Smart Network Infrastructure PROFINET Industrial Cabling
