For centuries they have been used not only as an excellent food source, but for their soothing and healing qualities. Clinical studies have proven that oats heal dry and itchy skin, reduce inflammation and alleviate redness. Oat oil is extracted from whole oat kernels by a gentle process that retains all of the important biologically active components. It contains a very high level of important natural antioxidants, including several forms of vitamin E. Rich in essential fatty acids and natural emollients, this product provides excellent softening, smoothing and hydrating actives for both skin, cosmetics and hair products. Anti-Ageing Moisturising Cream with Suggested Formulation Using This product should be suitable for all skin types, even those that are sensitive, due to the presence of oat oil that provides soothing and antioxidant benefits. This glossy white, light texture emollient cream, spreads and rubs in easily. Anti-wrinkle and skin repair benefits are provided by vitamin E in combination with a patented hexapeptide ingredient but this formula provides a good base for the inclusion of a variety of different active ingredients. Disperse the Carbopol ETD 2050 in phase B, heating to 70 75 C. 2. Heat phase A to the same temperature. 3. Add phase A to B with rapid mechanical stirring. 4. Continue mechanical stirring and add pre-dissolved phase C. 5. Stir until the temperature of the cream is below 40 C. 6. Add phase D, adjusting the ph to 5.5-6.0 with the citric acid solution. 7. Natural Massage Oil with Suggested Formulation Using This formulation is designed to provide a lubricious, natural oil that spreads well and aids effective massage, without being excessively greasy. The oat oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids and natural antioxidants and helps to soothe the skin, leaving a protective natural barrier. A qualified aromatherapist or beauty therapy professional could add a suitable essential oil blend, at around 2 3%, to the oil prior to use.
