OLE_PH1 1 *1299901* RESIDENCE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE SPOUSE OF A FOREIGNER RESIDENT IN FINLAND This form is for you if you are applying for your first Finnish residence permit on the basis of family ties. Your spouse has a Finnish residence permit and you intend to move to Finland and to lead a family life with him/her. Your spouse is your husband/wife, your registered partner of the same gender or a cohabitee with whom you have lived in a marriage-like relationship for at least two years, or with whom you have joint care of a child. In addition to this form, your spouse must fill in the form PK1_plus to respond to questions concerning family ties. Enclosing the clarification form with the application proper will make processing of the application quicker. Carefully fill in and sign the application. Incomplete information will delay the processing of the application and may lead to its rejection. An application may be submitted to a Finnish diplomatic mission abroad or to the local police in Finland. A processing fee will be collected when the application is submitted, according to the Decree on charges. Read the instructions for filling in the form at www.migri.fi English Application forms. Clarifications that you need to append to your application are listed in Section F of this form. In that case, the personal information in your passport, as well as your address, mother tongue and occupation, will be recorded in the Population Information System, which is Finland s national population register. If no residence permit is granted, no information will be recorded in the Population Information System, and you will not be issued with a personal identity code. The 11-character personal identity code is based on your sex and date of birth (e.g. 300171-931H). You will need it when contacting the Finnish authorities. It will also make things easier for you when, for example, you contact a bank or your employer.
