By guest artist we mean writers, journalists, artists, musicians, filmmakers and others who in their home countries have been subjected to persecution and who are now invited by Swedish municipalities, county councils and regions to have a safe haven to live and work in Sweden for some time. It is important that your application is complete so that the Migration Agency can process it as quickly as possible. Processing of your application will be delayed if the Migration Agency requires supplementary information afterwards. Therefore, complete the questionnaire carefully and append the documents listed there. Most applicants are required to pay a fee when they apply for a residence permit.
