AT&T Bolt-On Ordering & Sales Tool BOOST (Direct) BOOST Overview BOOST (Bolt-on Ordering and Sales Tool) is an AT&T sales platform that serves as the ordering and billing system for both AT&T s Tech Support 360 and Web Hosting Services. The BOOST training is divided into 2 parts: BOOST for Direct Sales BOOST for Indirect Sales Both are comprised of an on-line tutorial accompanied by a learning guide. This document will address BOOST for Direct Sales. Logging into BOOST Login Screen Follow the steps below to login to BOOST: 1 Click Internet Explorer - Favorites Note: if BOOST is not already in your favorites, use this link to log on, and add to favorites. https://boost.att.com/ 2 Click BOOST Login 3 Enter your User Name and Password Note: Your password is case sensitive. 4 Click Login (do not use Enter key during this step) Note: Your USER ID and Password are assigned to you. If you become locked out of BOOST, please see a Supervisor or Administrator for assistance. P a g e 2

- New Customer New Customer - Advanced Subscription In this section, we will create an account and then record the sale for a new customer. In this example, we will show the sale of a Tech Support 360 Advanced Subscription. Follow these steps to create a new account and then record the sale of an Advanced Subscription: 1 On the Sales tab, click 2 Enter the following required customer information in the Customer section: Email Address Office Phone Number First Name Last Name Company Name Business Address Zip Code Note: Enter the zip code first! The City and State will automatically populate. 3 Determine the customer s method of payment (credit card or BTN) and make the appropriate selection in the Billing field 1 2 3 P a g e 3

- New Customer, New Customer - Advanced Subscription, 4 In the Sell Product section, under Available Products; Click on the appropriate type of product (In this example, Advanced Subscription, from the Tech 360 Menu) 5 Click Add to move the product to the Selected Products column 4 5 6 If applicable, select the promotion code from the drop-down menu displayed below: 6 P a g e 4

Review the confirmation page to ensure the information is accurate. Note: If the customer wishes to schedule an appointment, use the Schedule Appointment button to access scheduling. 11 P a g e 6

In this example, we will show the sale of a Basic Unix Hosting Month to Month w/ Web Advantage subscription. Follow these steps to record a sale of a Basic Unix Hosting Month to Month w/ Web Advantage for an existing customer: 1 On the Customer Care tab, click Find Customer 2 Enter the customers email address. 3 Click Search 4 When the Search Results appear, Click the Sell to link beside the customer s information to move to the screen 1 2 3 4 P a g e 8

- Customer Basic Unix Hosting Month to Month w/ Web Advantage, Customer - Basic Unix Hosting Month to Month w/ Web Advantage, 8 After adding the product you will see the Configure Shared Hosting Plans, shown below: 9 If the customer does not already have a registered domain name, they will need to purchase and register one. Click Register New 10 Type the customer s choice for a domain name. Be sure to spell it back to the customer for accuracy. Note: Domain names are NOT case sensitive. 11 Click Check Availability Note: BOOST will check for the availability of the name. If the domain name is already in use, a list of available domain names will appear. 12 Select the desired length of time for Registration Length Note: In this example, we are selecting 1 Year. 8 9 10 11 12 P a g e 10

If the customer agrees, click the box marked Yes 23 Set up a Security Question for the customer from the drop down menu 24 Have the customer provide the answer and enter the answer in the space provided. Customer - Apps Services or AFL Bundle Offers Customer - Apps Services or AFL Bundle Offer In this section, we will record the sale for an Customer. In this example, we will show the sale of an AFL Bundle Offer. Follow these steps to record a sale of an AFL Bundle Offer for an existing customer: 1 Enter the customer s email address on the page. The customer information will populate that way and you don t have to go to the Customer Care page. 2 In the Sell Product section, under Available Products; click on the appropriate type of product (In this example, AFL APP Standard Package, from the Bundles menu) 3 Click Add 2 3 P a g e 14

Customer - Apps Services or AFL Bundle Offer, Customer - Apps Services or AFL Bundle Offer, 4 Follow the previous hosting example if the customer needs to register a new domain or enter the customer s existing domain and select Use. You do not need to check availability of a domain the customer already owns. 5 You will notice that when purchasing this bundle, there is no need to configure the plan and the fields automatically populate with the appropriate information 6 Be sure to complete any Add-Ons as purchased by the customer 7 Click OK 4 5 6 7 P a g e 15

Customer - Business Class Email Customer Business Class Email In this section, we will record the sale for an Customer. In this example, we will show the sale of Business Class Email. Follow these steps to record a sale of Business Class Email for an existing customer: 1 Enter the customer s email address on the page. The customer information will populate that way and you don t have to go to the customer care tab. 2 In the Sell Product section, under Available Products; click on the appropriate type of product (In this example, Email Plans, from the Web Hosting menu) 3 Click Add 2 3 3 P a g e 17

Customer - Business Class Email, Customer - Business Class Email, 4 Follow the previous hosting example if the customer needs to register a new domain or enter the customer s existing domain and select Use. 5 In the Plan section, select Business Class Email for the Plan Type 6 Select the appropriate Registration Length 7 Select the appropriate Promotion if applicable 8 In the Add-On section, select the number of mailboxes the customer wants for each level of service. The Basic is selected as a default, but if the customer doesn t want Basic mailboxes uncheck that box and select one or both of the others. The customer can mix and match their email accounts. You do need to enter quantities in the additional mailbox section if the customer wants more than 1 mailbox per level. 9 Click OK 5 7 6 8 10 Read the Terms and Conditions script to the customer and set up a Security question as shown on page 12 in the previous section of this document 11 Complete the sale Click Process Payment and review the confirmation page as shown on page 6 in the previous section of this document 9 P a g e 18

Customer - Backup and Go Premium w/ Guest Accounts Customer - Backup and Go Premium w/ Guest Accounts In this section, we will record the sale for an Customer. In this example, we will show the sale of Back up and Go (BUG) Premium w/guest Accounts. Note: In this example, the sale will show as pending. Typically, sales show as pending when a customer has a BTN that is not yet billable. In most cases, new BTNs may take up to 1-2 weeks before becoming billable. When the billing information is approved, the pending status will be automatically removed. Follow the steps below to Customer Backup and Go Premium with Guest Accounts: 1 Enter the customer s email address on the page. The customer information will populate that way and you don t have to go to the customer care tab. 2 In the Sell Product section, under Available Products; add all BUG accounts. Note: BUG accounts must be added separately. First, add the Premium account, and then add the guest account(s). 3 Click Add 4 Click Complete Order 3 2 4 P a g e 19

Customer - Backup and Go Premium w/ Guest Accounts, Pending Orders, 5 Complete the sale, click Process Payment 6 The Sales Order screen will appear Pending along with a pending order number Note: the order will complete automatically when the billing number is authorized.. 6 P a g e 20
