If this condition is not met durg the skill test or proficiency check, the type ratg will be restricted to VFR only. Where the letter M appears the form this will dicate a mandatory exercise. A flight simulator shall be used for practical trag and testg if the simulator forms part of an approved type-ratg course. See AMC FCL 2.425 Standardisation arrangements for examers [5] An examer should plan per workg day not more than three test checks relatg to PPL, CPL, IR or class ratg, or more than two tests/checks related to FI, CPL/IR and ATPL or more than four tests/checks relatg to type/ratg. [6] An examer should plan at least three hours for a PPL, CPL, IR or class ratg s, and at least four hours for FI, CPL/IR, ATPL or type ratg tests/checks, cludg pre-flight briefg and preparation, conduct of the, de-briefg and evaluation of the applicant and documentation. [7] An examer should allow an applicant adequate time to prepare for a, normally not more than one hour. [8] An examer should plan a flight so that the flight time an aeroplane or ground time an approved synthetic trag device is not less than: a. 90 mutes for PPL and CPL, cludg navigation section; b. 60 mutes for IR, FI and sgle pilot type/class ratg; and c. 20 mutes for CPL/IR and ATPL.
