1. Setting up ø Mobile Web This step may not be necessary if your phone already has a data account called O2 Mobile Web if it does, go to step 2. 1. Press the Menu key on the bottom left of your phone. Select Tools. 2. Select Settings. Select Connection. Select Access points. 3. Press the left key for Options (just above the joystick). A menu will be displayed. Select New access point. 4. Select Use default settings. 5. Enter the following in the relevant fields: Connection name: O2 Mobile Web Data bearer: GPRS Access point name: mobile.o2.co.uk When this information has been entered, use the joystick to move down the list. 6. User name: username Prompt password: no Password: password When this information has been entered, use the joystick to move down the list. 7. Authentication: normal Gateway IP address: leave as 0.0.0.0 Select the right key (above the joystick) for option Back. 8. The O2 Mobile Web data account has been created. 2. Setting up an email account 1. Select Messaging. 2. Select Options. 3. Select Settings. 4. Select E-mail. 5. Select Open. 6. If this is the first mailbox you are creating on your phone, you will be asked this question. Select Yes. 7. Enter a mailbox name, a name that is meaningful to you. Select Access point in use. 8. My mail address: enter your email address in this example the address used is antoni@o2.co.uk Scroll down using the joystick on the phone. 10.Outgoing mail server: smtp.o2.co.uk You MUST enter this data in the field or you will not be able to send email. 11.Send message: immediately 1. Highlight your mailbox name. Select Options from the menu. 12.Include signature: No User name: Refer to the table on page 8 for details of your username. Enter the username exactly as outlined in the table or by your ISP. Password: Enter the password for your email account. 13.Incoming mail server: Refer to the table on page 8 for details of your incoming mail server. In this example we are using mail.o2.co.uk. Mailbox type: POP3 or IMAP4. Your ISP will confirm these settings for you. Security: Off Select Back 14.Your mailbox has been created and is ready for use. 2.
