Year 8 Revision List SUMMER 2016

Drama Exams will commence the week beginning Monday 16 th May for 8DJ, 8DC, 8HM and 8GP and will begin the week beginning Monday 23 rd May for 8RP; Each pupil has been given their exam script the week beginning April 25 th ; Script: Scientist meets Fish by Susan Kim; Exam expectations students will be marked out of 25 in the following areas: vocals, facial expression, gesture and movement, creativity and use of space. Strong line knowledge is a necessity. Poetry: English List of terms on poetry sheet; Work completed on poems. Personal Writing: Writing in sentences and paragraphs; Accurate use of punctuation; Use of adjectives, range of verbs and range of vocabulary to engage reader; Use of senses in descriptive writing. Non-Literary Comprehension: Work completed on non-literary comprehensions; Pictures; Colour; Layout headline / subheadings / font / use of quotations; Fact & opinions; Persuasive techniques / use of adjectives / personal pronouns.
