Drama Exams will commence the week beginning Monday 16 th May for 8DJ, 8DC, 8HM and 8GP and will begin the week beginning Monday 23 rd May for 8RP; Each pupil has been given their exam script the week beginning April 25 th ; Script: Scientist meets Fish by Susan Kim; Exam expectations students will be marked out of 25 in the following areas: vocals, facial expression, gesture and movement, creativity and use of space. Strong line knowledge is a necessity. Poetry: English List of terms on poetry sheet; Work completed on poems. Personal Writing: Writing in sentences and paragraphs; Accurate use of punctuation; Use of adjectives, range of verbs and range of vocabulary to engage reader; Use of senses in descriptive writing. Non-Literary Comprehension: Work completed on non-literary comprehensions; Pictures; Colour; Layout headline / subheadings / font / use of quotations; Fact & opinions; Persuasive techniques / use of adjectives / personal pronouns. General: Basic punctuation: capital letters / full stops / exclamation marks / question marks / correct use of speech marks; Accurate spelling of commonly used words; Neat handwriting and presentation.
