As President of the Costa Rican Football Federation I am proud to introduce you to our national team, the area champion of CONCACAF in the discipline of the Futsal. We began this new challenge on the road to this world Cup of Thailand 2012, with responsibility and self-respecting sports offering the best of our technique, tactics and sportsmanship for enjoyment of the Sport. On behalf of all the Costa Rica delegation, we assured that the selection of Futsal reaches Thailand with the firm conviction to fight from start to finish showing a good level of football. Diego Antonio Solís Le Roy Technician Director National Selection Futsal CRC Diego makes his first steps in football Federated at the early age of 15 years, starting to play with the National University, then went to the youth from Deportivo Saprissa climbing to the category of reserves and played one year with the first Division in 1982 He also played with the second Division teams including San Miguel, Puriscal, University of Costa Rica and Barrio Mexico. It was precisely during this facet that he began to play football Hall to participate in two World Championships (88 Australia and Mexico 99). He also participated in two World Championship FIFA, Hong Kong 92 and Guatemala 2000. Achievements: As player in national teams participated in more than 60 games at international level, being the best scorer of the selection in the world of Hong Kong 92, with 7 entries, mark that stands so far. In the world Pre 2000 was the best scorer with as many 8 and he was chosen as the best player of the tournament for the CONCACAF. He conquered in the year 2002 gold medal in the Central American Games in city Guatemala with the selection of Futsal, being named the best player of the Central American Area. The triumph of the newspaper La Nación of Costa Rica magazine, appointed him as the best player during 3 years in a row, being rewarded by this means of communication, one of the most prestigious. Its beginnings as technical date from the year 2003, in the canton of Desamparados, province of San José in the national games that year, then became a project of Futsal in the canton of Goicoechea in the year 2005, in this and the following year, was runner-up national first Division, getting in 2007 the title of undefeated national champion. In that same year, he was appointed Technical Director of the national selection of Futsala to start the process to the world Thailand 2012, managing to participate in the tournament Grand Prix Brazil, where conquered the ninth position, however, for personal reasons he had to resign in 2010. Already for the year 2011 achieves the Futsal Cup tournament runner-up with Goicoechea canton in the province of Costa Rica equipment. Again for the 2012 he became like technician of the national selection of Futsala for the playoffs on Guatemala getting the title of champions of CONCACAF invicta shaped area and achieving qualification for the 2012 Thailand world. In its collection in the discipline of the Futsala he played 20 national championships in the first Division, being top scorer on several occasions.
