Dear Parents, Encourage your children to always read something good and to choose some of the books they read from great book lists like this one! If our children grow to love to read because from an early age they develop the habit of being entertained by the exciting world of literature, we have done our job as educators. Many of these books can be read together or read to children. It is impossible to construct a comprehensive reading list that will include every worthy book. A book read by these authors (though not on this list) should also count as a classical book read. Biographies are also great for children to read, as are the purely science and historical books which we have in our classrooms. Additionally, the Ignatius Press saint books are great for children as are saint books from other publishers. Enjoy Your Journey, Jim Grogan, Principal Grades K-3 1.
