CISCO IP Phone 7942-7962 PHONE / EXTENSION NUMBERS - Internal 5-digit extension numbers - 13000 to 13199 (Non-DID) - 73000 to 73199 (DID s) - External 7-digit phone numbers (DID Direct Inward Dial) - 687-3000 to 687-3199 (68 + 73000 to 73199) Note: When calling internal users, please use the 5-digit extension numbers and NOT the 7-digit external phone numbers. PLACING CALLS - Dial Tone Lift handset, or press Speaker button, or press Headset button, or press New Call soft key, or press a Line Key and dial appropriate number. - Pre-Dial Dial number you wish to call then lift handset, or press Speaker button, or press Headset button, or press Dial soft key, or press a Line Key. - Internal Calls Dial extension number - External Calls (Local, Mainland, and International) Dial 9 + telephone number - External Calls (Inter-Island) Dial 8 + telephone number - Emergency Calls All phones are able to dial 911 or 9+911 for emergencies. ANSWER CALLS - Lift handset, or press Speaker button, or press headset button, or press Answer soft key, or press incoming Line Key. Notes: - You may be able to answer multiple calls on the same extension (Call Stacking). Use the Navigation buttons and the Answer soft key to answer the additional calls. - Answering a second line while on a current call will put the current caller on hold when answering the second call. It is not necessary to press the Hold soft key. ENDING A CALL - Place handset on cradle, or press Speaker button, or press Headset button, or press EndCall soft key CALL HOLD - Press Hold soft key - Press Resume soft key or Line Key to return to call Notes: - You may be able to receive / place multiple calls while you have a caller on hold. To toggle between callers, use your Navigation key. - Calls are automatically put on hold when selecting a new line key while on a call. It is not necessary to press the Hold soft key. MUTE - Press MUTE button (lights red: you cannot be heard) - Press lit MUTE button (unlit: you can be heard) - This feature Mutes the call while on a handset, speaker, or headset call. 1

LAST NUMBER REDIAL - Lift handset, press Redial soft key, or press the Redial soft key (activates Speaker). CALL TRANSFER - While on an active call press Transfer soft key (caller is put on hold you get dial tone) - Dial number you wish to transfer caller to - Announce call (optional this is NOT a 3-way call) - Press Transfer soft key to transfer call. You are removed from the conversation. Note: If busy, no answer, misdial, press EndCall, followed by the Resume soft key or press Line Key to return to original party CONFERENCE - While on an active call press Confrn soft key (caller(s) is/are put on hold you get dial tone) - Dial number you wish to conference with - When the party answers, press the Confrn soft key to conference in all parties - If enabled, you may be able to add additional parties to your conference by repeating the above steps. Notes: - If busy, no answer, misdial, press EndCall, followed by the Resume soft key or press Line Key to return to original party. - Only the initiator can add additional parties. If the initiator disconnects from the call, the conference remains connected. - Up to four (4) parties (you plus three others) can be joined in a conference call. CONFERENCE LIST - While on a Conference call, press ConfList soft key to view a list of conference participants. - Press the Update soft key to get an updated list of participants. - While viewing the conference list, the initiator can remove participants by highlighting the participants name and pressing the Remove soft key. CALL FORWARD Set: - Press CFwdALL soft key (hear confirmation tone) - Dial forwarded number (visual reminders on) Cancel: - Press CFwdALL soft key (hear confirmation tone, visual reminders off) Note: Users can forward calls to VoiceMail directly. Press CFwdAll and enter the voice mail extension number (73199), or press the Messages button CALL PARK - While on an active call press Park soft key. Caller is put on Hold and released from your phone. - Note displayed park stall number on your LCD screen (13130-13149) To retrieve: - Dial park stall number 2

Note: Call will be parked for 60 seconds. Call will ring back to originator when the timer reaches 60 seconds. CALL PICKUP - Call Pickup (pickup a ringing extension in your group) - Press the PickUp soft key. - Press the Answer soft key to connect to the call. Note: You may have audio / visual cues available to signal an available Call Pickup opportunity. - Directed Call Pickup (pickup a specific extension) - Press GPickUp soft key and dial the extension you wish to pick up. - Press the Answer soft key to connect to the call. - Group Pickup (pickup a ringing extension in another group) - Press GPickUp soft key and dial the group number you wish to pick up. The incoming call is diverted to your phone. - Press the Answer soft key to connect to the call. Note: If call is not answered, call goes back to original party. SPEED DIAL / ABBREVIATED DIAL (programmed by system administrator or through Web Interface) - Lift handset, press Speed Dial button or press Speed Dial button (activates Speaker) - To access a programmed speed dial that is not displayed on your phone, press the associated index number followed by the AbbrDial soft key. BUSY LAMP FIELD (BLF) / SPEED CALL (programmed by system administrator) - A BLF / Speed Call button works similar to a Speed Call button. The difference is that the BLF feature provides you with the state of the line as well. - Button is RED and Icon shows two receivers Line is in use - Button is dark and Icon shows a telephone Line is idle - Button is RED and Icon shows a red X Line is in DND TO LEAVE A VOICE MAIL WITHOUT RINGING A PHONE - Select a line and get dial tone - Press the star key (*) then the mailbox number (extension number) of the person you wish to leave a message for. - Leave your message after the greeting. TO TRANSFER A PARTY TO SOMEONE S VOICE MAIL WITHOUT RINGING A PHONE - With the caller on your line, press Transfer soft key (caller is put on hold you get dial tone) - Press the star key (*) then the mailbox number (extension number) of the person you wish to transfer the caller to. - Press Transfer soft key to release the call idivert (Send a ringing call to voice mail) - While phone is ringing - Press idivert soft key - Call is forwarded to voice mail 3

DIRECTORY CALLS (MISSED, RECEIVED, PLACED) - Press the Directories button - Use Navigation/scroll button for desired option (Missed, Received, Placed) - Press Select soft key to display list - If desired, press Dial soft key to place the call, or use EditDial soft key to edit the number to dial. CORPORATE DIRECTORY (programmed by administrator) - Press the Directories button - Use Navigation/scroll button to select Corporate Directory, press Select soft key - Use scroll key to select First Name, Last Name, Number option - Use numbers corresponding to letters on dial pad for name or number - If desired, press Dial soft key to speed call RINGER TYPE - Press the settings button - Use Navigation/scroll button to select User Preferences, then select Rings - Press Select soft key twice... Scroll through list types - Press Play soft key to hear - Press Select, OK soft keys when desired ring heard - Press Save soft key and Exit - Press Select, OK soft keys when desired ring heard - Press Save soft key and Exit LCD DISPLAY CONTRAST - Press the settings button - Use Navigation/scroll button to select User Preferences, then select Contrast - Press Select soft key - Press Up or Down soft keys for desired display contrast - Press OK, Save soft keys and Exit 4

CISCO UNITY VOICE MAIL ACCESSING VOICEMAIL (From own station) - Press the Messages button or dial 73199 (voice mail extension) - Enter default PIN (1379), Press # - Follow prompts - The Voicemail system will help you setup your mailbox (From outside) - Dial 687-3199 or dial your 7-digit telephone number - At the greeting press the * key. - Enter your Mailbox number / Extension number and press the # key. - Enter your PIN, and press the # key. - Follow prompts Or (From another station Internal) - Press the Messages button or dial 73199 (voice mail extension) - When greeting reached - Press *, enter your ID number (extension number), Press # - Enter PIN, Press # - Follow prompts *** NOTES: - The voice mail system has voice prompts to walk you through the system. - You will need to set up / initialize your mailbox before you can retrieve voice mail. - Record Name - Record Greeting - Change PIN - Choose whether to be listed in the directory - If you hang up before completing the enrollment process none of your changes will be saved. You will then need to go through the enrollment process again. - Voice mail will take messages if mailbox is not initialized. - PIN s must be at least four (4) digits long. - PIN s do not expire. - Trivial PIN s are NOT allowed (easy PIN s 1111, your extension #, etc) - You are NOT allowed to reuse your last (1) PIN. - You will be locked out of your mailbox with three (3) unsuccessful tries. Your mailbox will be locked out for thirty (30) minutes. 5
