Introduction 1. Go to the Options menu to arrange the sound volume, the level of complexity and other parameters. 2. Choose a character that will open the door to an unexpected night guest. You will play the selected character throughout the game; the other one will be your assistant.

3. Click the letter and proceed to the next location. Assembling the letter 4. Gather 16 paper pieces. Use the Hint bar to get a clue. As soon as you have gathered the paper pieces, drag them from the Inventory to the Item area.

5. Match the pieces to get the following image. If you fail to do that, use the assistant s hint clicking the assistant three times. For the fourth time he/she will offer you help. Searching for the book in the library 6. Examine the scattered books in the library clicking each of them. You need the book that lacks the page you restored from the pieces earlier. Click the note in the book.

Reading the note written with invisible ink 7. After you ve got to know about the invisible ink and obtained the note from the book, move on to the Alchemist s workshop to find the necessary chemicals and read what s hidden in the note. 8. In the workshop apply the note to the flask, then hold it near the torch to see if symbols appear. Repeat the same with each flask until you see the symbols in the note.

Opening the library panel 9. Return to the library. Click the note with the symbols and find a panel with a similar symbol. 10. Here we are in front of the panel. You must find proper nozzles for the bolts and tools necessary to remove the panel.

11. Get back to the workshop and find the tools and nozzles. Yellow circles point to the necessary tools and nozzles. 12. In the library match the nozzles with the corresponding symbols of the bolts. Next apply the tap wrench to each bolt.

13. The panel hangs on the last bolt. Use the crowbar to remove the panel. 14. Now you are in front of a safe. Click the hexagonal cap to expose the figure of a postman with a blue stone on his chest.

15. Return to the workshop. Click the mannequin in the corner. 16. Take the chip key.

17. Enter the library. Set the chip key in the middle of the bars. 18. Rotate the dial locks with the right and left mouse buttons to set them to the right position. Then click the chip key for confirmation.

19. The safe is open. You can see a black box with a golden symbol on top. Click the box and here you are back in the office. Opening the black box 20. Open the drawer in the office.

21. Take out the tools. 22. Click the safe in the office and take the magnet.

23. Click the book with the magnet in the Inventory. 24. Apply the scalpel to the book as shown in the picture. As a result you ll get a key.

25. Apply the screw-driver from the Inventory to the box on the table. Click the opened box to look inside. 26. Open the box bottom. To do that, make a mouse click as shown in the picture. As a result you get a magnifying glass. Next click the pyramid that will appear on the table.

The Bird s face of the Pyramid 27. In the beginning only the following two pyramid faces are available the Bird s face and the Barley Break Face. Let s start with the former. The walkthrough of this scene consists of successive clicks on the four feathers, which produces a tune. If you lose enthusiasm for this task, click the assistant several times and he/she will solve the puzzle instead of you. As soon as the puzzle has been solved, the Air face becomes available. The Barley Break Face of the Pyramid 28. To start the puzzle, click the element indicated in the picture. The puzzle elements are randomly mixed up, you will have to restore the original image.

29. To solve the puzzle you must match the elements as shown below. Note that all elements are numbered for convenience. If you have trouble with this task, click the assistant several times and he/she will solve the puzzle for you. 30. After the puzzle has been solved, the Earth face becomes available but in a moment it falls to pieces. Now you will have to find the metal pyramid plates on the floor using a torch. Red circles indicate the puzzle elements of the Earth face. Also you need to pick up the rimmed colored lenses indicated with blue, pink, yellow and turquoise circles.

The Fire Face of the Pyramid. Puzzle 31. To solve the puzzle apply the metal plates from the Inventory to the pyramid face. 32. Next match the pieces to get the following image. If you get stuck with the puzzle, click the assistant several times. As soon as the puzzle is solved, the Fire face becomes available.

The Water Face of the Pyramid. Sudoku 33. First of all, you must drag the plates with symbols from the Inventory to the pyramid face. 34. Now put the plates in free cells to avoid horizontal or vertical duplicating of symbols. If you are not anxious to solve the puzzle, click the assistant several times for help. As soon as the puzzle is solved, the Water face becomes available.

The Elements Faces 35. After you are through with the puzzles on the outside faces of the pyramid, you will have access to the four previously hidden faces, in particular, the faces of Fire, Air, Water and Earth. To access an element face, click it with the magnifying glass from the Inventory. 36. Each element face consists of three locations. You may switch among the element locations clicking the transition areas. To find a transition area, move the mouse to the location border. The transition area will be highlighted.

37. In each location you must find all items on the list. As soon as you are finished with the task, you will automatically switch to the next location of the current element. The Hint bar will give you clues to facilitate the search. Finding all items in the three locations of an element gives you the magic stone of the element. After that such an element face is not available any more. As soon as you are through with all four pyramid faces, you will have the Stone of Fire, the Stone of Air, the Stone of Water and the Stone of Earth in the Inventory. 38. The Air Face Peculiarities: A number of items are hidden in the clouds. To find these items, set the cursor over the clouds and hold the left mouse button. A dragon fly will help you disperse the clouds. 39. The Earth Face Peculiarities: A number of items that you need to find are in the cellar. To get in the cellar, open the lock with a key and open the hatch.

40. The Fire Face Peculiarities: Use the handle switch to put the light on. This will make the search of items easier. The Pyramid. The Buttons Face 41. The Elements faces are followed by the Buttons face. To start solving the puzzle, take the key from the Inventory and put it in the key hole.

42. Now the puzzle is activated. Click the segments of the pyramid bottom until they all turn bronze. You can use the Hint bar for clues or ask the assistant for help clicking him/her several times. Now you ll proceed to light filters. Light Filters 43. First, click the rimmed colored lenses in the Inventory. Thus, you have four rimmed lenses.

44. Insert these lenses into the pyramid top so that you could see the element symbol through each lense. Hold the cursor over an inserted lense to look through it. If you cannot see anything, it means that the lense is in the wrong place. The symbols look as follows. 45. Rotate the pyramid top segments to match each lense with the corresponding element face. To rotate a pyramid segment, click it and holding the mouse button move it clockwise or counterclockwise.

46. Insert the stones from the Inventory in the supports. You can click the assistant to complete this task. You ll be transferred to the Alchemist s tower. Read the letter from the Alchemist. The End
