Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Always wear ANSI-approved safety goggles when working with this tool. Use clamps (not included) or other practical ways to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control. Do not force the product. Use the correct product for your application. The correct product will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed. Do not force the product and do not use the product for a purpose for which it is not intended. Store idle products out of reach of children and other untrained persons. This product is dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Never aim the Staple Gun at any person, child or animal. Maintain this product with care. Do not use a damaged product. Unpacking When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible. Assembly Instructions Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual. Loading the Staples Pinch the clip located on the end of the Magazine Unit (2). Pull out the Magazine Unit (2)-see Figure Insert a full strip of staples into the Staple Channel (3). Insert the staples into the Staple Channel (3) with the sharp staple tips facing up in the Staple Channel-see Figure Push the Magazine Unit (2) back into the Staple Gun Body (1). Make certain that the Magazine Unit (2) is pushed all the way back into place before operating the Staple Gun. Figure 1 Magazine Unit (2) Page 4

Staple Channel (3) Staple tips face upward Figure 2 Operating the Staple gun Determine whether or not the object being stapled will necessitate extra force from the Staple Gun. This will depend primarily on the thickness of the item being stapled. For instance, a large pad of papers will need more force than one or two sheets being stapled together. Set the Force Selection Lever (4) to either Normal or Max -see Figure Force Selection Lever (4) Figure 3 4. Place the item that you desire to staple below the Driver located on the front of the Staple Gun. Grasp the Staple Gun with your fingers inserted into the opening in the middle of the Staple Gun (1) and your palm resting on the Release Lever (5). Squeeze and pull down on the Release Lever (5) to fire a staple. Page 5

INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general condition of the product. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operation. Do not use damaged equipment. Remove dirt and debris from the Staple Gun using a clean, soft cloth. Do not use flammable corrosive or abrasive solvents to clean the Staple Gun. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Causes Probable Solutions Staple Gun does not staple Stapler jams during operation Staples not loaded correctly. Magazine Unit not fully and properly inserted into Staple Gun. Lever not pulled completely up and then fully pressed down. Verify that staples are loaded into the Magazine Unit flat and with prongs facing upward. Check that Magazine Unit is fully inserted. Staples jammed in channel. Pinch the clip located on the end of the Magazine Unit (2). Pull out the Magazine Unit (2)- see Figure 4. Remove jammed staples from the channel. You may need to use long-nosed pliers (not included). Make certain that you are using correct size staples. Close Magazine Unit. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair, or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of storing, and returning the product.
