This product has undergone extensive testing by Eminent s technical experts. Should you experience any problems with this product, you are covered by a five-year Eminent warranty. Please keep this manual and the receipt in a safe place. 1.1 Functions and features The push button (referred to in the following as the push button) is a transmitter for use with the e-domotica system. The push buttons can have various functions, depending on the other devices integrated into the e-domotica system. Before you can control other devices remotely with the push button, you have to program the push button for the e-domotica system or install a new system. 1.2 Packing contents The following parts need to be present in the packing: EM6625 e-domotica Push Button Manual Mounting materials

.0 Inserting or replacing the battery 3 ENGLISH Caution: If the battery is inserted incorrectly, the radio push button will not function. An incorrectly inserted battery can damage the electronics. The saved functions are not lost when the battery is replaced. Figure 1 Figure 2 1. Insert the new battery with the engraved plus (+) symbol pointing downwards into the battery compartment. Please dispose of used batteries according to statutory regulations. 3.0 Add the push button to an e-domotica e- Centre Note that you might need to enable the checkbox Normal/High Power just below the Include button on the e-domotica Products page of your e-centre. This option is available to be able to include devices on a greater range. For example, your e-centre is located in the living room and the EM6620 is located in the attic of your house. 1. Make sure your computer is completely started. 2. Open your computer s web browser. 3. Enter http://ecentre in the address bar of your web browser and press the Enter key on your keyboard. 4. The webpage of the e-centre will be shown. If the Wizard is started, click Exit Wizard. 5. Go to the e-domotica Products page. 6. Click the Include button. The e-centre will start to search for new e-domotica devices. 7. Press the sensor button on the push button three times within 1,5 seconds. 8. The e-centre will communicate with the push button. This might take a few minutes, depending on the size of the Z-wave network. 9. A message will appear: Product found.

ENGLISH If the device is not found, press the Exclude button in the e-centre s webpage and then click the button on your push button. After this procedure you can add the new device correctly. 10. Give the connected and found device a name, choose a location and click Save. 11. The push button has now been added to the e-centre. 4.0 What you need to know about the installation site Caution: The push button should not be fixed to metal surfaces; if it is, its functions cannot be guaranteed. Z-wave transmission does not use exclusive transmission paths, disruptions can therefore not be ruled out. There are various options for installing the push button on different surfaces. On smooth surfaces and glass with adhesive strips/foils Screwed directly to the wall or with screw fixings on a mounting box (flushmounted or cavity wall box) Retrofitting to existing switches/socket-outlets by snapping it into an extended multi-gang frame The minimum distance from walls/edges above and below the device should be 7 mm because, during installation, you have to hang the frame with the pushbutton from the retaining plate and slide it approximately 5 mm to the left. The push button can only be attached to the retaining plate in one position. The retaining plate is labelled "TOP/OBEN" at one end. The push button is in the upright position when the "+" symbol on the battery compartment is at the top. Always mount the push button in the upright position. This is important for the correct allocation of the functions of the operating surfaces.

ENGLISH 5.0 How to mount the radio push button on smooth surfaces or glass 1. Insert push button A into frame B from the front until it clicks into place. Figure 3 2. Place push button C together with frame B on retaining plate A and move the button and frame to the left until they click into the claws on the retaining plate. Figure 4 3. Clean the mounting surface so that it is free of dust and grease. 4. For mounting on glass only: fix the aluminium-coloured foil to the mounting surface, avoiding bubbles and folds in the foil. 5. Remove the two foam panels D from the protective foil and fix them to the positions marked on the back of retaining plate A.

ENGLISH Figure 5 6. Peel off the foil from the adhesive surface on each foam panel. Firmly press the retaining plate together with the frame and push button flush against the aluminium-coloured foil E or against the mounting surface, as the case may be. Figure 6 6.0 How to mount the radio push button on the wall or on a mounting box 1. Insert push button A into frame B until it clicks into place.

ENGLISH Figure 7 2. Attach retaining plate C to a mounting box with the screws provided or use the screws and plugs to attach it directly to the wall. Figure 8 Make sure that the words "OBEN/TOP" on the retaining plate are at the top. 3. Place the push button together with the frame on the retaining plate and move the button and frame to the left until they click into the claws on the retaining plate.

ENGLISH Figure 9 7.0 How to remove the push button from the retaining plate Caution: The frame is held in place in the retaining plate by claws. Never remove the frame without first sliding it upwards; otherwise, the retaining plate will be damaged. 1. Slide the push button together with the frame approximately 5 mm to the right until it disengages and then pull it forwards. Figure 10

ENGLISH 8.0 How to upgrade 1-gang frames to multigang frames You can, for example, connect the push button to an existing single switch or a single socket-outlet without having to attach an additional flush-mounted box. To do this you need a multi-gang frame (Figure 5). In this case, the retaining plate does not need to be installed. Figure 11 9.0 How to clean the push button Attention: Cleaning with detergents or wet cloths can damage the device. Only ever clean the device with a dry cloth. 10.0 What should I do if there is a problem? The receiver is not reacting to the push button: Make sure that the maximum range is not exceeded and that there are no metal surfaces such as metal cabinets or similar in the radio transmission path. If necessary, check that the battery is placed correctly in the push button and that it is not flat. Make sure that the push button is not in programming mode. (If the LED is constantly flashing or constantly lit up, this is the case.) The LED on the push button is lit up red: If it does not receive any feedback from the receiver, the LED on the push button lights up red (the same as in the factory settings).

ENGLISH 10.1 Resetting the push button to the factory settings Under certain circumstances, it may be necessary to reset the radio push button (and, as the case may be, the other devices in the e-domotica system) to its factory settings and to reconfigure the system: Press an operating surface on the push button three times within approx. 1.5 seconds. The LED on the push button flashes (if the push button has a system administration function, the LED lights up). Then press and hold the operating surface for approx. five seconds until the LED is extinguished. The push button has been reset to its factory settings. Caution: When you reset to the factory settings, all the settings and connections for this device are lost. The radio system may no longer work and will need to be reconfigured: see the separate description of the e-domotica system. 11.0 Frequently Asked Questions The latest frequently asked questions for your product can be found on the support page of your product.
