Optimum iq 3.0 System Features An Optimum iq wood pellet boiler provides clean, automatic and controllable heat. Its innovative combustion and control systems offer significant user benefits. At the heart of the boiler, developed in 2003 by a German company SOLARvent (www.solarvent.de), is the patented iq partition burner, which ensures the highest levels of efficiency, particularly during the power modulation phase. This is especially important at partial loads (down to 4.7kW), as the boiler still achieves combustion efficiencies of up to 98%. The design of the boiler also offers great flexibility as it has three output ratings, changed via a software key, and up to four boilers can be operated in series. This means that user needs can be precisely matched and makes installation easier. In 2011 the iqtouch operating system was developed. This is an ingenious operating system, that controls the biomass boiler optimally and easily, and users can link to it remotely - via a Smartphone, tablet or PC; allowing complete control, even while away from home or business. It offers the sort of advanced control features normally associated with much larger installations, at no extra cost. Quality built-in Warranty, training and support We are so confident of the quality of the Optimum iq pellet boiler that, as the sole agent in the UK and Ireland, we offer a seven-year warranty against parts failure. Our training centre is equipped with the latest Optimum iq technology. All of the boiler units are operational and topics covered include commissioning, servicing, fault finding and systems training. Optimum iq Innovation Maximum efficiency and flexibility The Optimum iq pellet boiler has a huge performance range from 4.7 to 30 kw, making it suitable for both domestic and commercial applications. This is due to the design of the partition burner which incorporates innovations that make the combustion more efficient and increases the operating efficiency significantly compared to its competitors. Efficient heating - thanks to the Patented iq partition burner Our patented partition burner provides a constant power modulation giving the highest efficiency across the output range. Even at part load, by far the most frequent operating level, it is up to 98% efficient. This high efficiency is achieved because the burner is always supplied with combustion air in the right place by the intelligent three-way air distribution system, in conjunction with a lambda probe. This ensures the highest levels of efficiency, even at loads down to 4.7kW. The power consumption for this operation is less than 1% of the current draw of the boiler. Built-in flexibility One standard pellet boiler can be configured for three different power outputs which can be changed at any time from 15.6 to 20 or 30 kw, even after installation, using a software key. Optimum iq Innovation Minimum emissions + Clean burning - barely measurable emissions By combining an innovative partition burner with a modern lambda sensor a highly efficient and very clean combustion is achieved. The current test results under EN 303-5:2012 (shown below) demonstrate the clean and nearly dust-free combustion. The Optimum iq wood pellet boilers meet the strict requirements of the HETAS / MCS Scheme as well as the requirements of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Automatic Cleaning For easy operation Automatic heat exchanger cleaning 16 cleaning feathers, also called turbulators, clean the entire heat exchanger automatically up to twice daily. This ensures that the long term efficiency of the boiler remains high, making automatic cleaning of the heat exchanger surfaces particularly important. The heat exchanger cleaning function is continuously monitored, with a sensor providing feedback to ensure safe operation. Automatic burner cleaning The programmable automatic burner cleaning flaps allow easy operation of the iq 3.0. The cleaning cycle is adjustable according to use or pellet quality. Regular automatic cleaning can be set to a specified time interval. For maintenance purposes the cleanout process can be activated at the press of a button. The entire cleaning process is controlled and monitored by a Belimo MP bus, with a permanent feedback status. This system allows for a cleaning condition assessment which produces a warning message when maintenance is necessary. 6

Pellet Storage Easier than you might think The Optimum iq boiler can be fuelled by hand or automatically using a suction mole or extraction auger.
