HOW TO ARRIVE TO HOTEL GANDIA PALACE FROM MAIN AIRPORTS VALENCIA AIRPORT At the airport, look for the metro signs. You can reach the metro station from the inner airport building. Once at the metro station, take line number 3 or number 5 (both exit from the same place). Without any transfer, stop at the Xátiva station. The next figure shows you the route that the metro line will do. For detailed information about metro timetable, you can check: http://www.metrovalencia.es/page.php?idioma=_en, you can calculate your route depending on the arrival time to Valencia, selecting Aeroport as the departure station, and Xàtiva as destination. An example is shown in the figure below. Once we arrive at Xátiva Station, there are many exits, the closest to the train station is the one indicating Xátiva, which is located just in front of the Train Station (València Nord). Once at the train Station, we must buy the ticket in an automatic machine or in the ticket office at the entrance. The train line to Gandia is C1: València Gandia. If you want to check for a timetable you can do it at: http://www.renfe.es/cercanias/valencia/index_horarios.html. As there is no English version, the next figure shows the main option you must choose in order to get the timetable for the day you are travelling. Only Origin station ( Origen ), final destination ( Destino ) and date ( Fecha ) has to be fulfilled, the click in the Horarios button to get the result. Once arrived to Gandia train station, you must go in front of it and find the bust stop for line 2, you must stop in number 15 (Devesa Calderón) where the hotel is situated less than 100 meters and you can see it from there. Last exit of the bus is at 23.40, if you arrive later, you should take a taxi, Taxi stop is very close to train station.
ARRIVING TO GANDÍA FROM MADRID AIRPORT From the Madrid Airport, you must go to the ATOCHA train station using the metro system. You can find the mos appropriate route using this link: http://www.metromadrid.es/en/index.html. The next figure shows the search form where the selected stations are marked. Once at the Atocha Renfe station you can travel to Valencia (more available times for travelling) and the take the C1 line to Gandia as indicated in the previous section, or you can take a direct train to Gandía (only once a day). You can search the possibilities here: http://www.renfe.es/horarios/english/index.html. From Madrid, you have a train to Valencia every hour from 6.40h to 20.00h. You can also travel by bus directly to Gandía. Using the metro you can reach the bus station called Méndez Álvaro, using the metromadrid search engine you can find the best metro route: http://www.metromadrid.es/en/index.html Once at the bus station, go to the AVANZABUS AUTORES desks to buy the ticket. You can check the timetable and Price in http://www.avanzabus.com/web/. This bus has a stop in Gandia Beach, which will avoid going to Gandia central bus station to the beach.
ARRIVING TO GANDÍA FROM BARCELONA AIRPORT From Barcelona airport, you must go to the central train station called Barcelona Sants. In order to go there, you must take a train (line C2nord: Aeroport Sant Celoni/Maçanet), where detailed information can be obtained from: http://www.renfe.es/cercanias/barcelona/index.html The next picture shows how to find a timetable from the airport to Barcelona Sants. Selecting just the origin, destination and date, clicking on the Horarios button you will get the information. Once you arrive to Barcelona Sants station, you must take a long distance train to Valencia http://www.renfe.es/horarios/english/index.html. Once in Valencia, you take another train to Gandia as described in a previous section. From Barcelona, you have a train to Valencia every hour from 7.00h to 21.30h.
ARRIVING TO GANDÍA FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT The only way to arrive to Alicante downtown is by bus (line C6), the link: http://www.alicantespain.com/alicante airport bus.html explains all details about it. The next figure shows the area in Alicante city where the train and bus stations are located. If you want more connections, you must go to Alicante bus station. Bus line C6 from the airport has a stop close to the bus station. The bus company is called ALSA and you must buy the tickets in desk number 2 or 3. Visit http://www.alsa.es/portal/site/alsa/ for current timetable information. If you go by train, using C6 line, stop off at the train station. Then, you need to go to Valencia, and then take another train to Gandía. There are trains from Alicante to Valencia every hour from 7.00h to 19.00h.
