Welcome to Vikersund and Modum 2015 became a milestone in skiflying history. The 250 meter mark was reached and passed in Vikersund. This season we hope to make a new fantastic winter party with extreme sporting achivements. In addition to this, we celebrate the 80 year anniversary of the Vikersund Hill, and the 50 year anniversary of ski flying in Vikersund. Accommodation and transport The accommodation for teams will be in a hotel approximately 40 minutes by bus from the venue in Vikersund. The LOC has a good cooperation with the hotels and can promise you an adequate accommodation especially adjusted to the needs of the athletes and teams. Rooms for physical therapist, team meetings etc. can be booked directly from the reception and should be paid directly to the hotel together with other extras, such as parking, extra drinks etc. The payment of costs for athletes will be according to the FIS rules. In case of arrival of fewer competitors and officials that accommodation reservations made, no-show has to be paid.
Accommodation and transport Transportation Transportation to and from the airport will be provided for free, however we need to be informed about your flight number in order to arrange swift transportation. When you arrive Oslo Airport Gardermoen please look for the info point (SFWC 2015 Vikersund Info Desk Thursday) and you will be picked up and transported to your hotel. Transport information: transport@vikersund.no Equipment transportation In cooperation with the OC in Oslo and Trondheim, we will organize a truck to transport skis and equipment from Oslo to Trondheim and from Trondheim to Vikersund. We will get back to the price per piece, but it will be cheaper than overweight fee by plane. Please send an email to wctrondheim@wctrondheim.org no later than 10th of January. Shuttle Service - Hotel Venue LOC will provide regular shuttle service free of charge between the team hotels and the venue. Look for the bus schedule at the Service Desk in the hotel. Parking There is only a limited number of parking places in the venue. Parking passes are required. The LOC therefore strongly recommends using the shuttle service.
Miscellaneous Insurance The nominating National Ski Associations are responsible for insuring their own athletes. All competitors must sign the Athletes Declaration. The event organizer is not liable for any injuries, or for any accidents involving a third party. Reimbursement The organizer will reimburse the athletes and their leaders/trainers for accommodation expenses according to the FIS rules. Athletes and leaders beyond the quota must pay directly to the hotel.. Radio Communication Anyone planning to use radio frequency (RF) equipment in Norway has to apply for requested frequencies and approximately radios at e-mail to: skiflyvning@vikersund.no Deadline for frequencies applications for the WC is January 15th 2016 Accreditation The Main Accreditation Centre will be located at Sport Club s house in Vikersund 3 km from the venue. Race Office and Team Captain s Meetings Team Captain s Meetingswill be held at Hotel Union Brygge at 20:00 on Thursday The race offices will be located at the venue. Rules The competitions will be held in compliance with the FIS rules. Participation The number of participants in the World Cup is defined according to the FIS roules Entries by FIS Online Entry System The entries and accommodation reservations must be done by FIS online Entry System on www.fis-ski.com. Deadline for preliminary entries is 10th of January 2016. Deadline for final numbers, arrival/departure information and transportation is 18th of January 2016. Deadline for final entries is 1st of February. In case of late entries, we unfortunately can t be able to guarantee all services according to Rules Doping Control Doping control will be carried out according FIS Anti-Doping Rules.
