B19 : Chinatown & Flower Market Every Tue/Thu/Sat only from 08.30-12.00 hrs. Price per person Baht 1,200.- Drive to Chinatown for a guided walking tour of the area. During this walk you pass Chinese shrines, colourful markets, narrow lanes with tiny shops and houses. In these lanes you will get glimpses inside typical Chinese households. Chinatown has been the main Chinese trading centre since the Chinese community was moved from its old site more than 200 years ago to make way for the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew complex. Then visit the flower market at Pak Klong Talad. A stop will also be made at Wat Suthat with its superb carved wooden doors and the remains of beautiful murals dating from the reign of Rama III (1842-1851). In front of the temple is the tall, spectacular Giant Swing. Then return to the hotel.
