CU 1007R Precision and performance The robust self-supporting cast iron structure ensures excellent rigidity, which is essential for very high-precision machining. The axes of the CU 1007R may be equipped with optional glass scales for 1 / 10 µm precision. Ideal for ultra-precise machining. Powerful, high-performance milling spindles Compact With a footprint of just 2.5 m 2, the ALMAC CU 1007R machining centre lives up to its name : «the smallest of the biggest». The machining centre is also available with a range of automation solutions, such as Pick and Place integrated in the machining area, the 6-axis loading/unloading robot or the «mirror» version to create a versatile and flexible solution. A wide range of ISO-25 or HSK-A32 tool changers, from 12 to 48 tools. ALMAC CU 1007R 5

MECHANICAL CONCEPT The CU 1007R includes X and Y slides mounted on prestressed rails and ballscrews. The vertical axis is formed of a solid cast iron prism on which a rectangular sleeve slides, guided by rails and also moved by ballscrews. All drives are operated by AC motors with digital servos. Rigid and highly stable thanks to its self-supporting cast iron in the mechanically welded frame, the ALMAC CU 1007R machining centre produces an excellent finish on machined parts. The slides become ultra-precise when equipped with glass scales. This results in circular deviation of less than a micron (ISO 230-4). NUMERICAL CONTROL NUMERICAL CONTROL Simple, efficient numerical control The Fanuc 0iMD numerical control system enables optimal management up to 4 simultaneous axes. 5 simultaneous axis management can be selected as an option for more complex machining operations (Fanuc 31iB5). The most scalable CNC system enables optimised machine performance while simplifying the job of the «programmers». With the ECO-PACK PLUS option, the CU 1007R also features a programmable automatic preheating mode. ALMAC CU 1007R 7

OPTIONS AND PERIPHERALS Oil filtration and swarf removal system CU 1007R machines are equipped with a swarf / oil separation tray which can be accompanied by a cooling system with a heat exchanger or refrigeration unit. Tool measurement The BLUM Z-Nano tool measurement system enhances the reliability of the CU 1007R and guarantees ultra-high-quality machined parts. Other measurement systems are also available. Oil mist extractor For customers without a central oil mist treatment unit, we offer compact purifiers to treat the vapour and smoke produced during the machining process using cutting oil. AUTOMATION Pick and Place automation system This system enables machined workpieces to be automatically unloaded / loaded in a storage magazine. This internal automation solution is economical and allows the footprint to be kept to a minimum. SPECIALISATIONS The machining centre that does it all The CU 1007R is available in numerous versions to meet machining requirements across a range of industries, including eyeglass manufacturer, orthodontics, watchmaking and other sectors producing small precision parts. Special configurations enable the CU 1007R to carry out a wide range of operations, including circular graining, diamond polishing, engraving and engine-turning. Circular graining version The «circular graining» version of the CU 1007R has 2 to 6 vertical spindles equipped with a CRATEX filling system.
