World Future Energy Summit, Abu Dhabi, 2015 Martin Grant, CEO for Energy, took part in a panel session called Lessons learnt from solar and wind projects around the world. Future Cities Forum, Abu Dhabi, 2016 Simon Moon, CEO for the Middle East was on a panel discussion about future proofing cities for the longterm. Central Reclamation Phase 3 Hong Kong We re transforming the shoreline of Hong Kong island into the world-class waterfront through our design and supervision of the central reclamation project. 23

Oxford Circus United Kingdom Since 2009, more than 80 million people each year have benefited from our innovative design of the diagonal crossing at Oxford Circus. We ve been able to reduce congestion and improve the quality of the public space at one of the busiest intersections in the world. 24

Central Planning Office Qatar We re helping to realise Qatar s Vision 2030 for an inclusive and sustainable society by co-ordinating the delivery of a multi-billion dollar transport infrastructure programme. 25

Flood mapping North America We re reducing the risks posed by flooding to lives and property in North America. By helping the Federal Emergency Management Agency collaborate with state, local and tribal entities we have been able to compile quality data, increase public awareness and promote mitigation actions. We re also transforming flood maps into more accurate, user-friendly, and easily accessible formats. 26

Iter France We re helping to deliver nuclear fusion on a commercial scale; offering safe, limitless and environmentally responsible energy, as architect engineer in the Engage consortium for the Iter project. 27

M25 United Kingdom We re working in partnership to keep the traffic moving around London. The Connect Plus consortium comprises Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Atkins and Egis Projects and was appointed to design, build, finance and operate (DBFO) the M25 project. 28

Yas Water World Abu Dhabi We set new sustainability standards as the lead designer of Yas Water World. We were responsible for architecture theming and design, MEP and structural engineering, the infrastructure, acoustics, ICT and security threat analysis, and site supervision. 29

Project NEON Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Reducing congestion and boosting safety, mobility and accessibility as lead designer for the development of a 3.7-mile freeway through the heart of Las Vegas, an area currently seeing 300,000 vehicles every day. 30

Heathrow Airport United Kingdom We re enabling passengers to move quickly and securely through Heathrow airport through our development and implementation of sophisticated biometric technologies. Image courtesy of Heathrow Airport Ltd 31

AVIC Fuzhou, China We re working alongside our client to define and deliver their vision for a new town in Fuzhou (the capital of Fujian Province). Plans address the risk of extreme weather events such as sub-tropical typhoons and heavy rainfall. 32

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Louisiana, USA We re transforming New Orleans International Airport by returning it to a world-class facility, be-fitting of a destination city and with passenger needs at the core. More info 33

Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) UK As lead partner in the Venturer consortium we re trialling autonomous vehicles in the south west of the UK and exploring the feasibility of driverless cars. These vehicles have the potential to enable huge social and economic benefits. 34
