What are JETSET qualifications? JETSET stands for Junior English Tests and Senior English Tests. They are: a suite of skills based English language qualifications available at seven separately certificated levels intended for candidates whose first language is not English These international ESOL qualifications have been designed to develop and assess a candidate s ability to communicate in English, in everyday situations. The tests are taken under examination conditions at increasing levels of difficulty and cover the four skill areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Who is JETSET for? JETSET qualifications are suitable for assessing learners from pre-entry level, to the Common European Framework (CEF) level C1 or Proficient User. At JETSET levels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, the qualifications have gained accreditation by the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as ESOL International qualifications. JETSET provides learners of all ages and backgrounds with a qualification to help them progress in their personal development. The JETSET suite enables training providers to offer flexible qualifications, suiting a range of abilities and interests.

Why should you choose JETSET? JETSET is a range of accredited general English ESOL qualifications designed to be a progression route from the early stages of learning English to high level fluency. Features Suite of General ESOL qualifications available at 7 levels of difficulty from foundation upwards Levels Foundation to 4 are contextualised for young learners from age 6-16 (JET) and adult learners from age 16 and upwards (SET) UCAS listed English language proficiency qualification Three mandatory components (Listening, Reading and Writing tests) and one optional component (Speaking test). Teaching Support Contextualised Passport to Success workbooks have been written specifically to meet the needs of learners preparing to sit junior (JET) or senior (SET) versions of the JETSET qualifications at Preliminary Level through to Level 4. They cover key syllabus topics and focus on core vocabulary and grammar demands. The workbooks are ideal tools to reinforce classroom-based learning and can be used as part of a language course and in conjunction with other JETSET support materials. The JETSET speaking test training DVD provides guidance to teacher examiners through: observation of live speaking tests candidate performance review an in-depth Best Practice presentation conducted by the JETSET chief examiner, Vicki Lywood-Last.
