COMPONENTS GENERAL DESCRIPTION STRUCTURE: In stainless steel, build up from bed and from side guards MOTOR UNIT: Drum motor powered, 0,18 kw, Ø113 mm. 0,33 kw drum motor is available. END CAP: Roller Ø55mm. Assembly. RETURN ROLLER: Idler roller supports and aligned the belt. BELT: Airports type in according to regulation in force; antistatic and flameproof. Belt structure build up in textile material at two cloth and rigid weft; upper side is built up in PVC and the bottom side is lower friction and lower noise. Belt is vulcanized. For its characteristic this belt type is suitable for roller with small diameter at guarantee of high cross rigidity and perfect and linear running. SIDE GUARDS SHROUDS: Build up in satined stainless steel AISI 304, 2 and 4mm thickness. Frontal shroud (passenger area) is 4mm thickness and of 198mm. Deep. SUPPORTS: Designed for coupling with scale and for right slope of the conveyor. OPERATION Check-in counter Trastecnica solution is designed for very good operation, easy maintenance and long life. OPERATION: Solution with a single conveyor allow to check-in operator to do a unique weighing when there are more baggage for a unique passenger. In fact if we consider baggage of medium dimensions, on the conveyor is possible the accumulation of three baggage. This permits to operator to check the total baggage weight before to send one or more baggage of that passenger on the take-away. (This is the typical situation with double check-in conveyors) to prevent possible problems or protests in case of overweight. EASY MAINTENANCE: The drive assembly is placed at end of conveyor under the shroud (for single and double check-in conveyors) to allow fast and easy spare parts replacements or for simple inspection. Maintenance directly on the belt, without remove great parts, avoid interference to the normal Airport activity. In general all conveyor structures are designed to permit fast maintenance operation thanks to easy removable components (shrouds). LONG LIFE: The conveyors build up with high quality components. The solution with single conveyor reduce the component quantity and consequently reduce failures probability and relatives maintenance costs. Trastecnica S.p.A. BELT CONVEYOR COMPONENTS GENERAL DESCRIPTION INTERMEDIATE SECTIONS: Available in standard length from 600mm to 3000mm. Structure build up with two frame in bent and painted iron plate, 2,5mm thickness, jointed by bolted to cross members, and one bed in galvanized plate. Return roller under bed. DRIVE UNIT: Two drives type are availables, central drive and end drive. Central drive (diameter 180mm) usually to use a intermediate section 1200mm length with take-up assembly for belt tension. Central drive can have two drive drum type, Ø100mm and Ø180mm both rubber coated. End drive is available with only one drive drum Ø100mm. rubber coated too. Motoreducers directly drive drum keyed have a torsion arm. This solution to make easier the maintenance and motoreducer replacement. END CAP: Realized with bolted shape plate to a intermediate section supports the end drum. End cap can be with take-up and available with end drum Ø100 or Ø74mm. DRUMS: Drive drums so already above defined, are rubber coated, while the end drums have smooth surface and a swell to make easier the belt tracking. Both drums, in steel, have shafts with bearing pillow block. BELT: In according to regulation DIN-ISO, has one or two polyester cloth, upper surface in smooth PVC or high traction coefficient (for example inclined conveyors, lower surface a low traction coefficient and low noise. The metallic lacing allow a quickly belt replacement. SIDE GUARD: Avoid baggage fall, usually are build up in 400mm height, but may be built up in variable height. In passengers area realized in stainless steel AISI 304 and bolted to intermediate section side. At the junction of conveyors the guards are realised to avoid the baggage jamming. In general these conveyors type designed for easy installation, built up in bolted section and complete of adjustable supports. These characteristics permit easy further upgrade or envelopment. CRESCENT CONVEYOR - GENERAL DESCRIPTION CRESCENT Conveyor is a continuous loop operation for horizontal use only. Conveying surface realized with continuos loop of rubber coated steel plates bolted to cross members attached to chain links. STRUCTURE: Build up in welded steel structural work is shape from 1500 or 3000mm standard straight sections, 45 or 90 standard curve sections, but special straight section and curves are available if necessary. Straight and curve sections are bolted to obtain the conveyor loop. TRANSPORTO CHAIN: Realized with a articulated chain link series, 507mm gauge, every one shape from two steel plate 558x50mm, 3mm thickness. Each chain link has a drive block on the bottom, which engages with a caterpillar drive. Coated central wheels Ø150mm with ball bearings greased for life are between at links. Each chain section has six nylon pads mounted on them which allows the plate to slide as the chain goes through a curve. Carrier plates are bolted to cross members who are bolted to chain links. Cross members are supported on each end by swivel casters CARRIER PLATE: Obtained from steel 6mm thickness with automatic machines and rubber coated 4mm thickness has a crescent shape. For this characteristic conveying plane is continuos and without clefts, in the curves too, and it has safe for operators, passengers and carried baggage. DRIVE ASSEMBLY: The Caterpillar Drive is a double row of ASA #80 chain connected together with a series of hardened spacers (18 pieces), which engage the drive block of each chain link. The caterpillar chain is mounted in the center of the 1500mm drive section and is driven by motor and sprockets mounted on side of unit. Some conveyors are provided with two Caterpillar drives (optional) This Caterpillar drives may be raised and lowered from chain link so that a Caterpillar drive is always running in case of maintenance or damage. Carousel with development 90m up, always use two Caterpillar drives. TAKE UP ASSEMBLY: Everyone carousel has two 1425mm take-up section installed. ACCESSORIES: Conveyor is complete of: Height adjustable floor supports Side steel curved and painted shroud, 4mm thickness in operators area and in stainless steel 4mm thickness in passengers area. Inside steel painted guards 2,5 mm. thickness, 200 or 400mm height in the operators area, and same characteristics but in stainless steel in passengers area. TRIPLANAR CONVEYOR GENERAL DESCRIPTION TRI-PLANAR is a continuos an closed loop for horizontal and inclined use (max 22 about). Conveying plane is realized with overlapping rubber rectangular plates, with central chain jointed. STRUCTURE: Build up in welded steel structural work is shape from straight and curve sections, Straight and curve sections are bolted to obtain the conveyor loop. Conveyor loop may be easy modified moving or adding conveyor sections. TRANSPORT CHAIN: 203,2 mm pitch is powered from Caterpillar drive for regular, noiseless and guaranteed operation. CARRIER PLATES: 810X300mm are realized in antistatic and flameproof rubber, 6mm thickness. Carrier plates and cross members are supported from coated ball bearings. DRIVE ASSEMBLY: The Caterpillar Drive is a double chain row connected together with a series of hardened spacers, that engage the drive block of each chain link. Drive assembly is in 1220mm straight section. The caterpillar chain is mounted in drive section center and is driven by motoreducer on drive shaft keyed. TAKE UP ASSEMBLY: Everyone carousel has two 1220mm take-up section installed. Chain tension set-up is made during the installation ACCESSORIES: Conveyor is complete of: Height adjustable floor supports Side steel curved and painted shroud, 4mm thickness in operators area and in stainless steel 4mm thickness in passengers area. CURTAINS AND TUNNEL To limit the air stream in passengers area and limit loss of heat, curtains can be installed. Realized in black rubber, 3 mm thickness, 150mm width, on painted steel installed. MANUAL AND MOTORIZED ROLLER SHUTTERS In manual version so in motorized version the roller shutter have the following characteristics: Roller blind realized in painted steel Roller realized in galvanized steel Ø 70 mm. Sliding guide realized in U profile Finishing, stainless steel in passengers area In motorized version is installed a motoredur into the roller that actives the automatic roller shutter opening and automatic closing.
