In the spring of 2009, Schaerer initiated their own Sustainability Project in order to find sustainable development paths and ways to implement them strategically, with our stated goal being to strive for improvement in all relevant areas. The materials used in the manufacture of Schaerer products are also selected with sustainability in mind. Coffee machines Many of Schaerer s developments contribute to substantial savings with regard to energy waste. Schaerer achieve this primarily in conjunction with insulation and the heating of water, as well as utilising the low-level energy usage in the standby mode. Technology The state-of-the-art, dependable technology also entails lower service requirements on the part of customers. This also means fewer service technician trips and therefore fewer CO2 emissions. Cleaning Schaerer continually reduced the amount of the cleaning agents necessary and also the water volume too.
