ENGINEERING AND WORKS Designing the mobility of the ftre The most important motorway investment programme crrently being implemented anywhere in the world: over 21bn of planned investments in Italy, 8 of which has already been completed, abot 900 km of motorway being pgraded on the Italian network, 30% of the work is carried ot directly by Grop companies. As a reslt of synergies among Grop companies, Atlantia is able to offer integrated soltions for the motorway sector, ranging from design to constrction and maintenance. OPERATIONS Traffic flow, safety and services Management and development of the network, grondbreaking technology and innovative commnication and services, reslting in indstry-leading operating standards on the Italian network: the latest technology to provide road sers with traffic information services; Sistema Informativo Viabilità (SIV) is a traffic information system based on networks of sensors and cameras to monitor the entire network operated by the Grop in real time; 2,100 vehicles for winter operations controlled sing a GPS tracking system to optimise response times and methods of intervention; 100% of the network (*) is srfaced with draining pavement. entirely designed and developed in-hose, Ttor is the world s first atomated system for monitoring the average speeds of motorway traffic and levying speeding fines. Overload Ttor, the first ever system for weighing heavy vehicles in movement. TECHNOLOGY Technological soltions for advanced mobility The world leader in free-flow tolling, the Grop: in 1990 introdced Telepass which, with over 8 million devices in circlation, is the most widely sed atomated tolling system in Erope; in 2004 installed the world s first free-flow tolling system for heavy vehicles sing the Astrian motorway network; in 2007 acqired ETC - Electronic Transaction Consltants, the leading US designer, prodcer and operator of free-flow electronic tolling systems for US highways; in 2011 was chosen to implement and operate a satellite tolling system for heavy vehicles on 15,000 km of French pblic roads. A leader in traffic information services, the Grop has developed a technology platform capable of offering mltichannel, real-time information services. 14

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Combining infrastrctre development with sstainability Atlantia adopts a sstainable development strategy aimed at controlling the impact on the territory, the protection of the environment and the containment of CO2 emissions, in line with the Climate and Energy Package of the Eropean Union. The Grop s commitment to sstainable development focses on for areas: improved traffic flow to redce congestion and polltion; innovative technologies to redce environmental impact of infrastrctres; generation of energy from renewable sorces; energy saving. Since 2009, Atlantia has been inclded in the Dow Jones Sstainability World Index, which ranks the 2,500 best international companies in the Dow Jones Global indexes in terms of their corporate social responsibility.
