AUSTRALIAN AVIATION GROUP COMPANY OVERVIEW
THE COMPANY THE COMPANY Australian Aviation Group (AAG) specialize in the design of aircraft hangars, aircraft maintenance equipment and airport infrastructure AAG was formed by a group of Australian architects and engineers with a proven track record in the international aviation industry developed over many years. Working in partnership with airlines, MRO providers and airports the group focuses on the provision of operationally efficient and cost effective engineering and architectural solutions. Based in Malaysia the group commenced operating in 2009 and has quickly developed a reputation for providing innovative design solutions based on sound engineering throughout many countries including United Arab Emirates, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Malaysia. AAG has the expertise and capability to undertake all areas of the design of a project including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire protection services whilst conforming to international design codes and standards. Strong architectural and engineering expertise combined with an Asian resource base means AAG is able to deliver high quality services at lower cost to clients 1 P a g e
RANGE OF SERVICES RANGE OF CONSULTANCY SERVICES AAG is completely flexible in the extent of services offered and will tailor the scope to suit the needs of the client or contractor. The standard consultancy services we offer vary over the following range: PROJECT BRIEF FORMULATION A complete analysis of the client s operational, technical and financial needs is undertaken and collated into a Project Brief or Needs Statement which forms the necessary basis to ensure a successful project HANGAR PLANNING & ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN The client s requirements are confirmed and translated into full architectural documentation and technical specifications. During the design process all design options are assessed using 3D modeling to clearly communicate the alternatives available HANGAR STRUCTURAL DESIGN All appropriate structural systems are assessed to confirm the most cost effective and operationally efficient structure for the purpose. Engineering documentation is completed incorporating all applicable local and international standards and codes TOTAL FACILITY DESIGN Undertaking the project design as a total package incorporating all design disciplines is the most efficient and cost effective method of designing and documenting a project TECHNICAL SUPERVISION DURING CONSTRUCTION AAG offers cost effective technical supervision throughout the construction and handover phase to ensure specified design and construction standards are maintained AAG offers fully integrated project design and technical supervision during construction 2 P a g e
RANGE OF FACILITIES RANGE OF FACILITIES AAG has expertise to design and, in some cases, construct the following range of facilities and equipment: AIRCRAFT HANGARS AAG specializes in designing all forms of aircraft maintenance hangars and shelters including line, heavy maintenance and paint hangars AIRCRAFT DOCKING SYSTEMS Design and fabrication/installation services for ground or roof-mounted aircraft docking systems for any type of dedicated aircraft or combination of aircraft HANGAR DOORS Cost effective horizontal sliding door systems designed by AAG or vertical lift doors are normally integrated into our hangar design scope of work GANTRY CRANES & TELEPLATFORMS Overhead cranes and tele-platforms can be integrated into the hangar design or incorporated into existing hangars GROUND RUN-UP ENCLOSURES AAG has the capability and expertise to design and construct cost effective GRE s incorporating blast deflectors designed to international acoustic and safety standards 3 P a g e
DESIGN METHODOLGY DESIGN METHODOLGY Our main aim when designing aircraft maintenance hangars is to provide the operator with a versatile and efficient facility that will reduce the turnaround times for aircraft maintenance thereby increasing productivity and enhancing company performance and reputation within their markets. Once customer needs are known, our engineers seek to develop the most comprehensive tailor made solution, based on extensive experience in the field and involving a variety of aircraft types. Prior to confirmation of a conceptual design, a thorough analysis is conducted in cooperation with the client to confirm the configuration best suited to meet their specific needs, based on operational requirements and any pre-existing or future proposed facilities. Design concepts are rapidly translated into structural models for engineering analysis, where appropriate international codes and design standards are applied to ensure total structural integrity and safety compliance over the entire operational envelope. 3-dimensional rendered graphical representations and virtual walk-through s are generated, providing powerful means of accurately assessing design feasibility and aesthetics, while also providing enhanced visual understanding to our clients. The design and integration of aircraft docking systems is one of many value added services we offer 4 P a g e
HOLISTIC APPROACH TO STAKEHOLDERS HOLISTIC APPROACH TO STAKEHOLDERS AAG believe clients and stakeholders are central to the process. The technologies we utilize are holistic and inclusive PROJECT PORTAL We are developing a Project Portal implementation, where clients can log in and check project status, confirm pending meetings and download and upload documentation. REQUIREMENTS MANAGEMENT We manage client and stakeholder requirements through a central web based shared repository, giving 24/7/365 access to the needs and specifications that drive the project. CONCEPTUAL DESIGN The concept design phase is where up to 80% of the final cost of a facility is decided. Our tools tightly integrate with conceptual design to ensure all stakeholders can closely monitor the evolving design and the project is value engineered at the earliest stages. BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) We promote the use of BIM models which allow all building disciplines to interact around the same shared 3D model, ensuring efficient project implementation. 5 P a g e
