What causes DTC-C0308: DTC-C0308 will set when the Transfer Case Control Module detects a variation in supply voltage going to both the Motor Control Circuit A or B. DTC-C0308 will also activate if the feedback voltage is excessively low on Motor Control Circuits A or B. Once DTC-C0308 has been activated, all of the 4WD shifter will be inoperative and will cause the SERVICE 4WD light to turn on. How to access the diagnostic trouble code (DTC): Once there has been a DTC set, the vehicle will either set a Service 4WD light, or the lights on the 4x4 switch will flash and/or stay lit. To access the DTCs, you will need to hook up a vehicle diagnostic scanner utilizing the service port under the driver side portion of the dash. 1

When to clear a DTC: The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) should only be erased once the voltage concern has been corrected, or the mechanical problem has been addressed. How to clear a DTC: 1. The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) will clear the DTC once the initial problem has been fixed. 2. A hard DTC will clear once the vehicle has run through one hundred (100) start cycles and detects no faults. 3. To clear the DTC manually, you will need a vehicle diagnostic scanner (Scan tool). Once the DTC has been erased, go back into the vehicle system and verify that the DTC has been erased and that the system is performing properly. 2

DTC-C0310: Description: DTC-C0310 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) determines an open circuit in motor control A or B, or an open motor circuit. What causes DTC-C0310: DTC-C0310 will set when the Transfer Case Control Module detects a variation in voltage going to both the Motor Control Circuit A or B. When the module is calling for a low voltage value and there is a high voltage return, DTC-C0310 will be activated, turning on the Service 4WD light and disabling the shifting feature of transfer case motor. How to access the diagnostic trouble code (DTC): Once there has been a DTC set, the vehicle will either set a Service 4WD light. or the lights on the 4x4 switch will flash and/or stay lit. To access the DTCs, you will need to hook up a vehicle diagnostic scanner utilizing the service port under the driver side portion of the dash. 3

DTC-C0323: Transfer Case Lock Solenoid Description: DTC-C0323 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) finds a fault in an open lock solenoid circuit or the open lock supply. What causes DTC-C0323: 1. The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) will attempt to deactivate the transfer case lock solenoid by opening the ground circuit. 2. The Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) is unable to deactivate the transfer case lock solenoid. 3. The Transfer Case Lock Solenoid output is producing low return voltage when high voltage is needed. How to access the diagnostic trouble code (DTC): Once there has been a DTC set, the vehicle will either set a Service 4WD light or the lights on the 4x4 switch will flash and/or stay lit. To access the DTCs, you will need to hook up a vehicle diagnostic scanner utilizing the service port under the driver side portion of the dash. 5

Once the DTC has been erased, go back into the vehicle system and verify that the DTC has been erased and that the system is performing properly. 6

DTC-C0324: Transfer Case Lock Solenoid Description: DTC-C0324 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) finds a fault in the transfer case lock solenoid coil, or the transfer case lock control is shorted to twelve volts (12v). What causes DTC-C0324: The transfer case lock return voltage is producing high voltage when low voltage is needed. 7

DTC-C0327: Motor A or B Circuit Failure Description: DTC-C0327 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) finds an electrical fault in the Transfer Case Encoder Circuit. What causes DTC-C0327: DTC-C0327 will set when the Transfer Case Control Module detects a variation in the specified voltage for the Transfer Case Encoder circuit. Another possible cause for DTC-C0327 could be a mechanical concern within the Transfer Case Shift assembly. The Transfer Case encoder detects the position of the shift shaft assembly on the Transfer Case. Over time, the shift shaft assembly could develop lateral or vertical movement and cause the Transfer Case Encoder to detect a false reading, setting a trouble code. 9

Once the DTC has been erased, go back into the vehicle system and verify that the DTC has been erased and that the system is performing properly. 10

DTC-C0374: General 4WD Failure Description: DTC-C0374 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) detects rear wheel slippage. Once the TCCM attempts to apply torque to the front wheels and cannot, DTC-C0374 will be set. When DTC-C0374 is activated, you will not be able to use your AUTO 4WD. The SERVICE 4WD light will remain on until you re-start your vehicle. What causes DTC-C0374: DTC-C0374 will set when the Transfer Case Control Module detects a variation in the front drive shaft and rear drive shaft speed sensor and is not able to engage the front differential after ten (10) unsuccessful attempts. 11

DTC-C0387: Transfer Case Shift Failure Description: DTC-C0387 will be set when the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) determines the Transfer case is unable to successfully shift to a requested mode or gear. What causes DTC-C0387: DTC-C0387 will set when one of the following occur: the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) determines the transfer case motor has existing circuit faults the Transfer case motor has attempted to shift into a requested mode or gear and is unable to find it s specified location the TCCM has determined a failure and has gone into a default gear, which could be 4HI or 4LO How to access the diagnostic trouble code (DTC): Once there has been a DTC set, the vehicle will either set a Service 4WD light, or the lights on the 4x4 switch will flash and/or stay lit.
