Safety Warnings and Precautions WARNING: When using tool, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment. Read all instructions before using this tool! 1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries. 2. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let them handle machines, tools, or extension cords. 3. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of reach of children. 4. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial tool. There are certain applications for which this tool was designed. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not modify this tool and do not use this tool for a purpose for which it was not intended. 5. Dress properly. Protective, electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair. 6. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles and a full face shield. Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when working around chemical dusts and mists. 7. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not reach over or across running machines. 8. Maintain tools with care. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect tool cords periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician. The handles must be kept clean, dry, and free from oil and grease at all times. 9. Disconnect air supply. Unplug tool from air supply when not in use. REV 07g, 08d Page 2

10. Avoid unintentional starting. Be sure the switch is in the Off position when not in use and before plugging in air supply. 11. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not operate any tool when you are tired. 12. Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician. Do not use the tool if any switch does not turn On and Off properly. 13. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Approved accessories are available from Harbor Freight Tools. 14. Do not operate tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels if taking prescription medicine to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the tool. 15. Maintenance. For your safety, service and maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified technician. (California Health & Safety Code 25249.5, et seq.) Product Specific Safety Precautions WARNING! FIRE HAZARD! Do not fill tank when the Spray Gun Washer is running. Do not operate if solvent has been spilled. Clean spilled solvent before starting the Spray Gun Washer. Do not operate or fill tank near a pilot light or open flame. Only operate in a well ventilated area. Always have an ABC rated fire extinguisher near by. 1. Set up this product on a proper surface. Locate on a flat, level, and solid surface that is capable of supporting the weight of the Spray Gun Washer, the liquid and other contents. 2. Use nonflammable solvents to clean Spray Gun and Cup. 3. Never use gasoline in the Spray Gun Washer. 4. Never lift the tank lid during the cleaning operation. 5. Shut down, drain, and clean the Spray Gun Washer before storing. Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator. REV 07g Page 3

Unpacking When unpacking, check to make sure all parts are included. Refer to the Assembly Drawing and Parts List located at the end of this manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the cover of this manual as soon as possible. Operation Please note: The Paint Spray Gun Washer comes fully assembled. Set-up and Operation 1. Tighten the Basin Lid located on the Basin. See photo on top of page 5. 2. Add 2.5 gallons of organic, nonflammable cleaning fluid into the Tank. 3. Push in and use the Trigger Hook to lock the Spray Gun Trigger in the open position. See diagram next page. REV 07j Page 4

4. Place the Spray Gun intake Nozzle onto the Gun Rack connector (in Tank). See photo below. 5. Place the Spray Gun Cup on the Tank rack as shown below. It can be placed on its side (as shown below) or upside down on the Cup Holder, position #2. 6. Turn on the Output Hose Switch. See photo at the top of page 6. 7. Turn off the Waste Hose Switch. 8. Lower the Tank Lid to the closed position. See photo next page. REV 07j Page 5

9. Connect the air hose from the air compressor (not supplied) to the Air Inlet (upper right side of Tank). Please note: Only use compressed air with the Paint Spray Gun Washer. 10. Turn on the air compressor and set its pressure to 40 PSI. 11. Turn the Air Inlet Switch (next to air supply hose) to the on (air flow) position. Cleaning will begin. Under normal conditions, cleaning should take one minute. Dirtier units may take longer. Turning the System Off 1. Turn off the Air Inlet Switch (upper right side of Tank). See photo below. 2. Turn off Output Hose Switch. 3. Open Tank Lid and remove clean Spray Gun and Cup. 4. When finished with the Washer, disconnect from the air supply. REV 07g, 07j, 08d Page 6

Draining Cleaning Fluid from Tank 1. Insert the end of the Waste Hose (left side of Fluid Basin) into an appropriate solvent bucket with lid. 2. Turn off the Output Hose Switch. 3. Turn on the Waste Hose Switch. Troubleshooting Problem Possible Cause Probable Solution If Tank is not running 1. Setup procedures incorrect 1. Drain the Cleaning Fluid from the Tank and wipe Tank clean before storing the unit. 2. Store unit in a clean, dry, and cool location, away from any flame or spark source.
