Anusara Yoga Trainings in Jupiter, Florida with Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher Jordan Bloom Hosted By Kula Yoga Shala These trainings have specific tracks for both students and teachers of yoga designed to take you deep into the teachings of Anusara Yoga. For all students of yoga, you will gain an in depth knowledge and practice of Anusara Yoga through the Immersion & Therapeutics Training. For current teachers who first complete the immersion, you will be eligible to enter into the Anusara Teacher Training & Therapeutics Training. For those teachers who complete all three events successfully, this will help fulfill the requirements for upgrading Yoga Alliance certification to the 500 hour level and help to fulfill many of the requirements for becoming an Anusara Inspired Teacher and later a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher. This series of events is made up of three different areas of study in yoga: Anusara Yoga Immersion (120 hours) (Open to students & teachers) Anusara Yoga Teacher Training (145 hours) (Opent to teachers who have successfully completed Immersion and have received approval from Jordan) Anusara Yoga Therapeutics Training (35 hours) (Open to students & teachers). These events are designed to give you an in depth mastery and knowledge of the practice of Anusara Yoga (Immersion), the skill and technique of teaching Anusara Yoga (Teacher Training), and lastly, the art of working therapeutically with the body to help students and clients with injuries and other physical biomechanical issues (Therapeutics Training). RYT-500: If you have already completed a Yoga Alliance RYT-200 training and successfully complete all three events (Anusara Immersion, Teacher Training and Therapeutics) you will qualify to register at the RYT- 500 level through Yoga Alliance. Please note that these events must be registered for individually and that entrance into the teacher training program requires three criteria: Current RYT 200 hour status, successful completion of the Immersion, and approval by Jordan to enter into the teacher training. Anusara: This training will help to fulfill many of the requirements for becoming an Anusara- Inspired Yoga Teacher and later a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher. There are two suggested general tracks for participants: 1. Teachers Track: This track is for those who are already teachers at the 200 hour level. Attend all three events and take your knowledge as a student of yoga to an advanced level of understanding, and as a teacher of Yoga, to a new level of mastery. As stated above, please note that completion of the Immersion only qualifies you to enter into the teacher training with Jordan s permission and current RYT 200 hour status. 2. Students Track: This track is for practitioners looking to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga, but not planning to become yoga teachers. Attend the Immersion and the Therapeutics Training to focus on being a student of yoga and take your knowledge to an advanced level of understanding. The Anusara Yoga Immersion: The Anusara Immersion is the basis of the Anusara Yoga curriculum. It is an in depth course for all practitioners of yoga, made up of three parts. It serves to educate all students on the physical, philosophical and scholarly aspects of Anusara Yoga. The Immersion is recommended for both students and teachers of yoga and is a prerequisite for those who later wish to attend the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training or Therapeutics Training. When: Part I: January 24 29, 2012 Part II: March 23 25 & March 30 April 1, 2012 Part III: June 8 10 & June 15-17, 2012 The Immersion is made up of 3 parts. Each part is 40 hours, for a total of 120 hours. About the Immersion: The Immersion is an in depth course and exploration of Anusara and Yoga. Covers in detail all the basic elements of yoga philosophy and history, asana alignment and technique for Anusara Yoga. Designed to provide a strong foundation and practical understanding of Anusara Yoga for all serious students. The Immersion parts are cumulative, meaning that they must be completed in sequence: Part I, Part II and then Part III. Immersion Topics: Yoga Philosophy Classical, Vedanta and Tantra Asana Incorporating the Universal Principles of Alignment Breath, Meditation and Contemplation Anatomy & Physiology In depth study of yogic texts The Immersion is progressive, taking students deeper into Anusara and Yoga. After completing all three parts of the Immersion, students will have a solid knowledge of all the principles of Anusara Yoga and be able to integrate the key elements of the teachings into their yoga practice and daily lives. Prerequisites: The immersion is for all levels of students but is not for complete beginners to yoga. A basic knowledge of the asanas and some experience of yoga are assumed. (We recommend having previously attended at least 50 hours of yoga classes and an Anusara Yoga Workshop, if possible.)

Rather than teaching you yoga, this training will guide and instruct you on how to teach yoga. In other words this training will not teach you yoga but teach you how to teach yoga. Assumes a strong knowledge of yoga philosophy, methodology, alignment and practices of Anusara Yoga learned in the Anusara Yoga Immersion. Aspiring teachers will learn how to teach the information that they have already learned through the immersions and their own practice, to future students. When: Part I: September 1-8, 2012 Part II: October 18 21 & 25-28, 2012 The Teacher Training is 145 hours in length. It is a complete training that is made up of 2 parts. About the Teacher Training: The training will cover all the fundamental and important subjects as they relate to the teaching of Anusara Yoga. Topics covered will include: Fundamental Principles of Teaching Teaching the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment Creating and Weaving a Philosophical Theme into a Class Language Techniques and Tools Building and Sequencing a Class Principles of Demonstration The Art of Adjustments During the many teaching exercises throughout the training, plenty of feedback will be provided both by Jordan and fellow trainees, to help you refine your skills as a teacher.
Prerequisites: Completed all three parts of the Anusara Yoga Immersion with a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher. Received permission from Jordan to enter the teacher training. This training will educate you how to apply the knowledge of alignment in combination with yoga postures and physical adjustments to create healing and relief of pain from injury and other physical maladies. When: January 24 29, 2013 The Therapy Training is 35 hours in length. About the Therapy Training: This training will delve into therapeutic usage of biomechanics and its application in the body through physical adjustments and yoga asana. Educate practitioners in the application of the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment in therapeutic ways in combination with knowledge of anatomy, physiology and yoga postures. Deals with the science and art of physical therapy using musculoskeletal alignment and yoga postures. It is not a training addressing mental or psychological issues and conditions. Prerequisites: Participants must have at completed the following: All three parts of the Anusara Yoga Immersion with a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher.
