3 Component #2 Independent Study The requirements for Independent Study/Homework section of the program include: Perform 30 Akashic Records Readings and submit evaluations by recipients Listen and comment to four podcasts Organize an Akashic Records Book Club, How to Read the Akashic Records, and submit report Listen to the recorded class: Inner & Outer Aspects of Having a Practice and submit required homework Prepare and present an original ten minute Light Meditation Prepare and present a ten minute introduction of your personal story Optional: Participate in a private Facebook group Receive staff support, as needed Please see pages 6 & 7 of this document for the actual homework assignments. All Homework is due on or before November 1, Late homework will be accepted until December 31, Component #3 Five Day In-Person Workshop A 5-Day Workshop held in the Chicago area (Oak Brook Hyatt) from December 6 through December 10, 2015 is the final stage of the course and is mandatory for all students seeking certification. There are three components to the program, Five Core Courses, Independent Study and In Person Five Day Workshop in Chicago. The Program is organized to award Certification within one year, assuming all requirements have been met. 6 Part 2 - Independent Study Reflect and Respond: Written homework is the method by which Linda Howe and the staff will be able to assess your mastery of the material. 30 Akashic Record Readings - Readings are the Key to success as an Akashic Records Teacher. Satisfactorily perform at least 30 readings. Please note: this assignment has changed from what is described in the podcast. Each reading should last a minimum of 30, and a maximum of 60, minutes (approximately hours total). For each reading, perform a two-part evaluation and submit via with other homework: o The student provides the first name, age and presenting issue of the client, the time of day the reading took place and how time impacted the reading, the location and how it served the reading, as well as the Akashic perspective of the situation, the reader s level of comfort with the session and issue. o The client provides anonymous notes as to what was most helpful and what was least helpful in the reading (be as specific as possible). Four podcasts - Listen to four, 45 minute audio (mp3 recording) training podcasts and submit a half-page reflection and response for each. Each recording addresses topics essential to this coursework. The opportunity here is for self-evaluation, adjustment and implementation of suggestions for your success as well as validating your process by describing and reporting your experience. Inner and Outer Aspects of Having a Practice Listen to this recorded class including four, hour long sessions exploring issues fundamental to the practitioner such as: time, money, place, self-care and maintaining a fit spiritual condition. Complete and submit class homework assignments. Book Club Study Group - Establish and maintain a regular, ongoing connection with a group of people who meet in person monthly, for a minimum of three sessions, reading How to Read the Akashic Records, exploring the questions in the study guide at the back of the book, page 173. You arrange the location, invite guests, facilitate each gathering and submit a written report (including location, number of guests, topic, format, what worked/didn t, what you learned and how you plan to apply your new understanding to your next group meeting)- half page. Prepare an original 10-minute Light Meditation - Prepare and submit an original, 10 minute long, guided meditation that you will present at the 5-Day Workshop. Work both within your Records and outside of your Records to craft this practice. Submit your meditation outline, highlighting entry, core ideas/experiences and closing. This meditation is to be verbal only; NO recordings, props, music, dance or other therapeutic practices allowed. By original we mean do not quote from other authors/thinkers/texts this must come from you. This is your opportunity to develop and refine a powerful Light meditation. 7 Prepare a 10-minute Personal Introduction - Tell the story of how you came to the Pathway Prayer Process to Access the Heart of the Akashic Records. Let us know the positive difference it has made in your life and why you want to share it with others. Prepare a 10 minute talk that you will present to your peers at the 5-day Workshop. The purpose of this talk is to let us know who you are and what your personal purpose is in THIS work. On or before November 1, 2015, submit a one page outline of your talk. Your story should be a compilation of perspectives both within and outside your Records and include the following questions: o How did you find the Pathway Prayer Process? o What difference has it made in your life? o What do you love about your practice in the Records? o Why do you want to share this work with others? o What is the practical value of this work in your life? Homework Summary Table Students who participate in a 5-day Retreat with Linda Howe (Discover Your Soul s Path) as well as students participating in the online Akashic Visionaries, will have certain homework requirements waived. 9 Standards of Participation: 1. This is a professional certification program requiring focus, attention and energy. Once accepted into the Program, you may not present yourself as a Certified Teacher until you have actually received your written Certification from the Center. 2. We have found that it is counter-productive to participate in more than one Advanced Professional Training at a time. While engaged in this process, for the purpose of discovering the value of this work for yourself and your clients, we ask that you not take another course of study. 3. This is a class in the practice of spiritual principles. We work in groups and expect that there will be challenging phases as well as smooth ones. We expect you to give others the benefit of the doubt as you walk this path together. 4. We understand that many of you have achieved mastery in many disciplines and methods; however, as you embark on this path, we encourage you to allow yourself to be a student and let yourself be taught. While you certainly bring much to the group, let yourself learn. Do not deprive yourself of the opportunity to be nurtured as you find your way on this remarkable journey. Terms and Conditions of Certification Upon completion of all coursework, homework, and the 5-day Workshop, students will be asked to sign a Contract as the final step in their Certification process. The Teacher Certification grants a student the privilege of teaching and offering Certification to students for the Beginning Class/Practitioner Certification and the Advanced Practitioner Certification, based on the material from Linda s first book, How to Read the Akashic Records. Certified Teachers are encouraged to develop their own work in the Records and eventually, to teach that work. However, any Certification given by the Center shall cover only work developed by Linda Howe, and must be taught in accordance with curriculum per outlines provided. Note that the Linda Howe Center for Akashic Studies does not require submission of list of students taught or payment of commission fees for teaching Linda s work. However, you are required to obtain Certificates from the Center to give to your students. This way, when your students want to do advanced training with Linda Howe, they will receive credit for classes with you. Facebook Group and Protocol: Available from July 1, 2015 through December 31, We will setup and host a Facebook page for students to connect with one another, to share their experiences using the Pathway Prayer Process, and to support and encourage one another along the way of this profound journey. This is a forum for exchanging positive insights and understandings about your work in the Akashic Records and not a space for complaints or negativity. Any student found promoting (offering your services for a fee) their personal business will be banned from the group. Honor the standard Ground Rules for Group Harmony (see at all times.
