Open Entrants, please print all document, each art work requires an individual label, maximum of 2 art works per person. Artists Member Entrants, please print off all documents, each art work requires an individual label, maximum of 3 art works and 2 small paintings (additional 2 per small painting). Friday 24 th April, 11am 3.30pm Saturday 25 th April, 11am 3.30pm. Artists and Members Private View: Friday 22 nd May, 7 9pm. INSTRUCTIONS TO EXHIBITORS Artist members of Paisley Art Institute may submit 3 paintings plus 2 small works under 16 x16 inches (image size). Artist Members of Paisley Art Institute pay an entry fee of 15 and 2 for each additional small painting. Open entrants may submit 2 works. The entry fee of 15 to cover all works submitted. PLEASE BRING CHEQUE/CASH WHEN YOU SUBMIT WORK. There is no size restriction on work submitted although paintings eligible for the Small Painting Prize should be no larger than 16 x16 inches including the frame. Artists will be notified of works accepted from the 5 th May on the PAI website. Please tick box on Data Protection Form if you require to informed by post. Work not hung must be collected on Saturday 9 th May 2pm 4.30pm. SUBMISSION OF WORKS We request that work is not sent by post. To mounted works, please attach split rings and cord (not D rings). All other works should have no hooks or rings attached. Work should be suitably presented for the exhibition, no MDF, no metal, or clip frames. All works framed/unframed should be strong enough to take screw-in hooks. Sculptors must supply a plinth with their work. If artists have downloaded labels and will be delivering by courier, put all completed labels and data
protection forms in an A4 SAE and attach securely to the back of work. Labels will be attached at submission point. Please have your title, name and address on the back of your work regardless of which type of label you use. The decision of the selection panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of work. Loss or Damage While the Institute makes every effort to provide the greatest possible care of all works, it will not be responsible for any loss or damage, or any injury arising from any cause whatsoever. Artists are advised to arrange their own insurance. Sales Artists will be notified of work sold. A commission of 35% will be charged on work sold. Unsold work: Carrier- uplift on Thursday.2 nd July 11am 3.30 pm, Artist Hand-back 6-8.30pm and Saturday.4 th July 11am 3.30pm. Paisley Museum and Art Galleries WILL NOT store work. Work may not be removed until after the close of the exhibition on Sunday 28 nd June. Purchasers will not be allowed to collect works until they are paid for in full. Please collect works on the days specified, work not collected after Saturday 4 th July will be charged at 10 a week. Car parking is restricted; there are some spaces in streets nearby.
