Verona BMX facts BMX Track: The BMX Olympic Arena Verona facility features a SX combo track incorporating both an 8meter SX start hill for Championship classes and 5 meter start hill for Challenge classes. Route The BMX OLYMPIC ARENA VERONA lays conveniently between the city centre, the Verona Airport and the main highways connecting the city to the others airports of Northern Italy. By car: Driving on motorway A4 (Milan-Venice), take the Brenner motorway (A22) direction Brennero then exit at Verona Nord. Proceed on SS12 road to Verona center, take exit Stadio (football Stadium) and follow directions to Parcheggio B. General information Team area Everybody can reserve a space for a team tent inside the Team Area next to the track. Team tents are only permitted at the team area. There is one parking spot per team tent available on the parking area near the main entrance. Booking deadline The booking deadline is Sunday 19/06/2016 or until all the places have been filled. A space is not reserved until payment is received. You must leave before Monday July 11th at 11AM. Tent area will be closed two hours after the races/practice end. The organisers will assign space locations. How to book camping place Fill in the BOOKING FORM on the event website. We will receive it directly from the website. Please be sure to indicate a correct email address. Rules of camping areas: Entrance: from Tuesday July, 5th at 9AM until Thursday July, 8th at 6PM Exit: mandatory before Monday July, 11th at 11AM Registration: road signs will lead you to Palazzina Masprone where registration will take place. Later, staff members will take you to your spot. Families who wish to park next to each other must check-in together. Trailers: Moving your auto vehicle (car) in and out of the camping area is forbidden throughout the days of the event. Overnight surveillance will be provided. Riders can be interviewed from this location. Press passes for the event will be granted only to accredited journalists in possession of an ID card issued by the national press association. Pass will be delivered at the Welcome Center. The journalists can submit the press requests through UEC website: http://uec.ch/en/2013-04-03-15-46-31/events-accreditation.html It is mandatory to wear press BIB s for the journalists on the track. Race information Riders can only register through their own National Federation. Entries have to be emailed by your national federation to the following address bmx.europe@orange.fr. No individual registration will be accepted. The moto's are seeded in accordance with the 2015 European Championships results. In case of special conditions (weather, else) the UEC BMX Commission allows the PCP in agreement with the UEC Technical delegate to reduce the number of moto's. This can only apply for challenge classes and never for championship classes. Riders registration In accordance with the UCI rules only European riders can participate to the CC race. All riders (Challenge and Championship) must hold a national license issued by an UCI affiliated Federation. We ask the Chefs d Equipe to bring a bank statement (ask your federation), showing when the payment was made by bank transfer, when they pick up the riders packages in the Welcome Center. This to avoid any problems. Participation championship classes Each country is allowed to enter a maximum number of 16 riders in every championship classes. The Federations can add riders after the deadline but they will have to pay double fee. (only championship classes for the CC). The riders must compete in their national jersey. Participation - challenge classes Each country is allowed to enter a maximum number of 16 riders in all race categories, for the host country it is allowed to enter 32 riders in all race categories. It is NOT possible for Challenge riders to register after the deadline or on the spot. The registration fees are the following: Junior Classes: 80,00 per entry(late entry 160,00) Elite Classes: 90,00 per entry(late entry 180,00) Challenge classes: 50,00 per entry The registration fees for all riders have to be paid in full to the National Cycling Federation (or organiser) which organise the event. 2016 UEC BMX European Championships11

Riders equipment o Short pants : are allowed provided they are used together with knee and shin protection with a rigid surface that extends from the knee protection to fully cover the shin until just above the ankle. Nevertheless the UEC BMX Commission recommends for safety reasons the use of long pants. o Jeans are not allowed all classes o Use of clip pedals : riders aged 13 and older are allowed to use clip pedals. o Front and side plates: colours and sizes as per UCI rule book article 6.1.072. Since photo finish system is utilized, each bicycle entered into competition must display a lateral number plate located just behind the steer tube. The number shall be black with a white background. The height of the number must be a minimum of 8 cm with a width of 1 cm. o The riders must display the number assigned to him: career number if any for Elite classes and then International European Numbers that are assigned by the UEC race Administrator. It is the responsibility of the rider to check he has the correct number on his plate. No correct number or no correct plate means: no authorization to start and then REL. o Numbers on jerseys: riders without a permanent UCI career number must not print a number on the back of their jersey. o UEC BMX European Championships : All Challenge riders must either wear a clearly visible national flag of their country on both shoulders or the national jersey of their country otherwise they will not be allowed to start. All Championship riders must wear their national jersey with career number if they have one. The world, continental and national champions must comply with this rule and wear their national team clothing while participating in the European Championships. 2016 UEC BMX European Championships13

Accreditation system All personnel directly or indirectly concerned with the race must be provided with special ID cards. These ID cards / passes should have different colours according to the authorized areas. The organizer will provide ID cards / passes to: Nr. 1 pass Chef d Equipe (Head of country delegation) Access to finish line Nr. 1 pass per country for National Coach (Championship cat.) Nr. 1 pass per country for National Coach (Challenge cat.) Assistant to national Chef d Equipe in addition to the head of delegation: the number of assistants is based on the number of attending riders(largest number on one of the two days: riders not entries). Trophies and prize money Challenge categories: Trophies are available for the first eight riders of all classes of the Continental Championship race for challenge classes. Numbers 1 up to 3 will receive their trophy on the podium directly after the finals. Numbers 4 up to 8 can collect their trophy directly after the final near the finish line. Championship categories: Prize money will be awarded according to the time schedule below. The UEC will proceed to the payment by the end of October 2016 through the riders National Cycling Federation.
