Bankline File Import Guide 1. Introduction This document describes the changes effective April 2008 for the Bankline Internet Banking Import File Layout User Guide. In overview, the changes are as follows. Changes only affecting Financial Institutions Addition of five new By Order Of fields (T078 through T082) allowing Financial Institutions to provide By Order Of information relating to their customer, for compliance with new Financial Action Task Force (FATF) rules, in order to meet FATF Special Requirement VII for the traceability of assets. Use of fields (fields T017 through T021). Changes only affecting customers using SWIFT codewords, Intermediary Institutions, or with other special requirements Use of the additional SWIFT codewords (fields T048 through T067). Use of Intermediary Institution fields (T043 through T047). Use of By Order Of Name (field T079) by a non-financial Institution to identify alternative originator information (that has already been registered with us). Contact your Relationship Manager if you have special requirements for the By Order Of information which we are obliged to send out with your payments for compliance with FATF rules. 4. New Conditions The following conditions are added to the table in section 2.1 of the File Import Guide ( Conditional s ). T008 - Priority T017 - T022 Account With Bank T043 T078 - By Order Of Account T079 - By Order Of Name T080 - By Order Of Address #1 T081 - By Order Of Address #2 T082 - By Order Of Address #3 Conditions L (Low value) is now only valid for payments to a limited number of countries outside of the Single European s Area (SEPA), currently Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and USA. For payments to other countries where you may previously have used L (Low value), use N (Normal) instead. If you are a Financial Institution, this field is mandatory for Urgent Domestic and International payments. A BIC should be provided wherever possible. If not provided, your own BIC registered with us will be used. If you are not a Financial Institution, this field must not be provided. For Standard Domestic, Urgent Domestic, and IATs, must be a 6 digit UK sort code. For International payments, must be a BIC or National Clearing Code in the beneficiary country. A BIC should be provided wherever possible. For use only if you have requested use of Intermediary Institutions. Use only where necessary, the use of intermediaries can impact the delivery timescale and cost of your payment. Must be a BIC (for both International and Urgent Domestic payments). If you are a Financial Institution, this field is mandatory, and must contain information relating to your customer. Your customer s IBAN should be used wherever possible. If you are a Financial Institution, this field is mandatory, and must contain information relating to your customer. Your customer s account name should be used wherever possible. For other Bankline users, where we have registered By Order Of record(s) for your use, you may supply in this field a pre-agreed By Order Of Name (which must be an exact match). If you are a Financial Institution, this field is mandatory, and must contain information relating to your customer. Where code words require an action by the receiving bank, you should only rely on the use of a codeword by the receiving bank if they have agreed with you in advance that they will act on the codeword. CHQB and HOLD are only available for International payments for Shipping Customers (T043) must be provided if PHOI or TELI are used Certain combinations of codewords are not allowed, see the SWIFT handbook for further details.
